Dr. Lorenz Nager commenced employment in 1986 as an Audit Assistant with Dr. Lipfert GmbH, Wirtschaftsprufungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft (audit and tax consulting company), in Stuttgart, and was subsequently engaged as an Assistant at the University of Mannheim for the chair of Business Administration and Taxation. From 1991 up through the fusion of Ferd. Schulze GmbH & Co with PHOENIX Pharmahandel Aktiengesellschaft und Co KG, he directed the Tax Division of Ferd. Schulze GmbH in Mannheim. Since 1993, he has served as Director of Business Development with PHOENIX and in 1997, became Managing Director of PHOENIX International Beteiligungs GmbH (holding company for foreign investment). In 1999, he was appointed to the Managing Board of the PHOENIX group with responsibility for Controlling, International Finance, Accounting and Investments, and in 2000, to the Supervisory Board of the Tamro Group, Helsinki. Since 1 October 2004, Lorenz Nager has been Chief Financial Officer of HeidelbergCement; he is additionally responsible for Shared Service Center and Logistics.

Alan became a Non-Executive Director of the Company on 1 July 2007 and Chairman of the Audit Committee on 1 April 2008. He was a member of the Managing Board of Heidelberg Cement AG until the end of 2008 and was previously the Chief Executive of Hanson PLC, from April 2002 to October 2007. He joined Hanson in 1988 and held various positions prior to his appointment as Chief Executive, including Finance Director of Hanson PLC and Chief Executive of Hanson Building Materials America.
Dr. Albert Scheuer started his professional career with the Research Institute of the German Cement Industry in 1983. After joining HeidelbergCement in 1992, he took on various positions at the Leimen cement plant and Heidelberg Technology Center. From 1998 to 2005, he was in charge of technical support for our European cement plants as Managing Director of Heidelberg Technology Center. As of 2005, he was responsible for HeidelbergCement's activities in China as Chief Operating Officer. In August 2007, he was appointed Member of the Managing Board. From August 2007 until the end of 2007, he will serve as Executive Vice-President at Lehigh Cement Company in the USA. As of 1 January 2008, Dr. Albert Scheuer will become President and CEO of Lehigh Cement Company, succeeding Helmut S. Erhard, who will retire at the end of 2007.
Andreas Kern joined HeidelbergCement in 1983. After taking on various positions in concrete, building materials, and, especially, cement sales, he was granted full power of representation in 1993. In 1994, he took over management of the sales office for southern Bavaria. In 1998, he was appointed Managing Director of Sudbayerisches Portland-Zementwerk Gebr. Wiesbock in Rohrdorf. As member of the Managing Board of HeidelbergCement he has been in charge of regional responsibility for Central Europe West since July 2000. From 1 July 2004, he has been responsible for Central Europe East, Central Europe West and maxit Group. Since 1 April 2005 he has been responsible for Europe-Central Asia and HTC Europe.

Daniel Gauthier joined CBR in 1982. After taking on various positions in several cement plants, in 1988 he took on responsibility for white-cement activities. From 1990 to 1994, he served as Technical Director of the cement business line in Belgium. He managed the Strategy & Development Department of the CBR Group from 1994 until 1998, when he was appointed Senior General Manager at HeidelbergCement with operating responsibility for the Central Europe-East region. As member of the Managing Board he has been in charge of regional responsibility for Central Europe East since July 2000. From 1 July 2004, Daniel Gauthier has been responsible for Western Europe, Northern Europe, Africa-Asia-Turkey and HC Trading. Since 1 April 2005 he has been responsible for Asia, Africa, Mediterranean Basin, Middle East, Benelux, HC Trading and HTC Asia.

From 1996 to September 2007, Dr. Dominik von Achten worked for The Boston Consulting Group. During this time, he held various management roles, including two abroad in New York and Helsinki. In his capacity as Responsible Partner & Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group, he headed the successful implementation of the "win" project at HeidelbergCement. Dr. von Achten has been appointed Member of the Managing Board as of 1 October 2007 and is responsible for the integration of Hanson.
Helmut S. Erhard joined HeidelbergCement in 1971. As director of the Mainz-Weisenau cement plant he was granted full power of representation in 1980. In 1987 he was appointed Senior General Manager, responsible for the technical management of the six cement plants in southern Germany. In 1996 he became Managing Director of HeidelbergCement Technology Center GmbH. In 1999 Helmut S. Erhard was appointed Deputy Member and in July 2000 Member of the Managing Board. He is in charge of North America and of worldwide coordination of HeidelbergCement Technology Center.
