Mr. Lutz is Managing Director of The Kafafian Group, Inc. and is primarily responsible for financial advisory, strategic planning, and profitability analysis. He is an experienced banking professional with over twenty-five years experience in bank regulation, M&A, dealing with troubled financial institutions, strategic planning and structuring financial transactions. His entire career has been in and around the banking industry. He was a career bank regulator holding senior positions in Washington, D.C. and in New York with the FDIC. Over the last 15 years he has specialized in investment banking and consulting to bank and thrift institutions. These pursuits have included advising on mergers and acquisitions, raising capital in both public and private transactions, and advising in strategic planning and regulatory consulting engagements. He is a member of the board of directors of two commercial banks in the New York area, one a private bank and the other a New York Stock Exchange company, where he serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Most recently he has advised on mergers and acquisitions with a number of business combinations involving small to mid-sized commercial banks and thrifts. He has also advised on the sale of financial services related firms in both the consumer and commercial marketplace, and frequently provides expert witness testimony on bank-related matters. Mr. Lutz has a B.A. in Economics from Hofstra University and an M.B.A. from American University in Washington, D.C.

For the majority of his career, Mr. Curd served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Jesup & Lamont Group Holdings, Inc. ("Jesup"), a diversified financial holding company. Jesup, through its subsidiaries, operated as a securities brokerage firm and full-service investment bank serving as financial advisor, placement agent, and/or underwriter to numerous early stage growth companies in industries spanning high technology, biotechnology, telecommunications, general manufacturing and services. Jesup also acted as a principal investor in a series of start-up and early stage companies. Mr. Curd began his career in 1986 as a member of Jesup's Investment Banking Group where he focused on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and high yield finance. In 1991, Mr. Curd assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and President of the firm. From 1991 to 2001, under Mr. Curd's leadership, Jesup developed its institutional and high net worth sales, research and investment banking capabilities and increased revenues during that period in excess of 500%. In February 2003, Mr. Curd sold his interest in Jesup to co-found Five Points Partners. Mr. Curd is a graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Finance and Economics. He is a director of Hemagen Diagnostics Corporation and a former Director of Emcore Corporation and Uniroyal Technology Corporation.
