Heritage Health Systems Inc. is a Medicare Managed Care and Medical Management Organization. Building on a long history of mutually beneficial physician partnerships, Heritage aligns itself with excellent physician groups to provide outstanding quality and financial results. In the early 1990's Heritage focused on physician owned Medical Facilities development, which eventually evolved into IPA Management by the late 1990's. In the early 2000's, Heritage partnered with the IPA's to start its first Health Plan Operation. While the focus has shifted over the years, each business model has been based on building and maintaining mutually beneficial physician partnerships. Today Heritage exclusively serves the Medicare Advantage market. Currently operating three Medicare Advantage health plans across the U.S., Heritage continues to expand into new markets.

Russell has more than 25 years of health care marketing experience gained in both provider and payer organizations. Prior to coming to Heritage Health Systems Inc., he was Vice President of Product Sales and Marketing for Community First Health Plans, a 120,000 member provider-owned MCO in San Antonio, Texas. Before joining CFHP, he was Vice President of Marketing and Operations for ECCA Managed Vision Care (EyeMasters managed care division) where he established the national sales and marketing organization for the nation's third largest optical retailer's entry into managed vision care. He began his career in the managed care industry with PacifiCare of the Southwest as Regional Vice President of Marketing, where had overall responsibility for all marketing efforts for both the commercial and Medicare products for the health plan's 250,000 member Texas/Oklahoma region. Prior to that, he spent more than ten years in senior marketing roles in community, teaching and specialty care hospitals in Ohio.
