Jane oversees the credentialing and recredentialing of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals to ensure compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory agencies and requirements. Jane develops the implementation of credentialing policies, procedures and regulations. Jane also manages the Medical Staff Office including employees and volunteers.

Dr. McCullough is a specialist in male sexual health and fertility. He is Assistant Professor at New York University Medical Center and Director of the University''s Male Sexual Health and Fertility program. Dr. Vanagunas is a Professor of Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, and a distinguished teacher in the field of gastroenterology. He has served on numerous hospital and medical school committees at Northwestern University. Dr. Vanagunas is also a distinguished lecturer who has addressed local and national medical meetings. In addition, he is a reviewer for several medical journals, including Hepatology, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Radiology, and the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Dr. Rhoads serves as primary medical reviewer for adult health-related topics with a primary focus on endocrinology and cardiology. She also serves as the primary medical reviewer for a variety of medical test topics, including blood and urine tests, imaging tests, and biopsies.

Dr. Carr is the Saltonstall Professor of Pain Research in the Departments of Anesthesia and Medicine at New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. A graduate of Columbia College and Columbia University, Dr. Carr trained in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and later at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he continued his training in internal medicine, endocrinology, and anesthesiology. He is a diplomate of the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. Known internationally for his contributions to pain research, Dr. Carr co-chaired and drafted major portions of the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research Clinical Practice Guidelines on Acute and Cancer Pain Management. He was principal technical consultant for the evidence report on cancer pain prepared by the Evidence-Based Practice Center at Tufts University School of Medicine and New England Medical Center and played a lead role in developing pain treatment programs at Massachusetts General Hospital and the New England Medical Center. He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Association for the Study of Pain publication Pain: Clinical Updates; he is lead editor for pain trials in the Cochrane collaborative review group on Pain, Palliative and Supportive Care; and he serves on editorial boards of several pain-related journals. He co-directs the master's degree program in Pain Research, Education, and Policy at Tufts University School of Medicine. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Pain Society, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and on the Legislative Task Force on Pain of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Dr. Carr has published widely and is the recipient of many awards, including the Bernard Schoenberg Memorial Award, American Institute of Life-Threatening Illness and Loss, New York; a citation from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for co-chairing the Acute and Cancer Pain Guideline Panels; selection as a Bonica Lecturer for the University of Washington; and honorary fellowship in the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the College of Anaesthetists of Australia and New Zealand.

Dr. Ingels received his naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University of Natural Health Sciences. Dr. Constantine, a Professor Emeritus at the College of Pharmacy, Oregon State University, has extensive knowledge of natural products and herbal medicine. Dr. Constantine teaches continuing education programs to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals throughout the United States and has lectured at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and Western States Chiropractic College. Geraldine oversees the credentialing/recredentialing of Medical Staff & Allied Health Professionals. She is responsible for the Medical Staff Office and all duties of the Director in her absence.

Gerri prepares the monthly Medical Staff Newsletter, monthly ER call schedule, and monthly Section agendas. She is responsible for coordinating monthly Continuing Medical Education programs for the Medical, Dental and Allied Health Staff. She is also the executive Assistant to Greg Taylor, MD, Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Elzinga is a general internist with a special interest in health informatics and patient care issues. He is currently an attending staff physician at the Boise Veterans Administration Medical Center and was named Associate Medical Director for Healthwise in 1996.

Dr. MacDonald is a professor and chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Alberta. His current research focus is translational research in eye genetics.

Dr. Nickel was born and educated and completed his undergraduate, surgical, urological, and research training in Canada. He has been a member of the Department of Urology at Queen's University since 1984 and was promoted to full professor in 1994. Dr. Nickel's research has been in the fields of inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract and benign diseases of the prostate gland. He has written more than 340 scientific papers, reviews, chapters, and books on these subjects. He maintains a laboratory at Queen's University, funded by peer-reviewed and industry grants. His Prostatitis Clinical Research Center is funded in part by a grant from the NIH/NIDDK. Dr. Nickel participates as organizer, chairman, invited lecturer, or visiting professor in many local, national and international university and CME events. He has given invited lectures in over 35 countries. Dr. Gerber is Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at Western States Chiropractic College (WSCC) in Portland, Oregon, and also teaches postgraduate courses for several other colleges. He graduated from WSCC in 1981, received his master's degree in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 1986, and is board certified in nutrition and orthopedics. Dr. Gerber is the author of Handbook of Preventive and Therapeutic Nutrition (Aspen, 1993) and a contributor to Conservative Management of Sports Injuries (Williams & Wilkins, 1997). Dr. Ginsberg is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He has been the director of the Thromboembolism Unit at Chedoke-McMaster Hospitals since 1989. In 1998 Dr. Ginsberg received the Stephen Garnett Distinction Award for Outstanding Physician which was awarded by the Hamilton Health Sciences Medical Staff. Dr. Ginsberg is actively involved in research and is an accomplished author of book chapters, articles for peer reviewed journals and abstracts. His current research interests include the clinical development of novel antithrombotic agents, the diagnosis and management of thrombosis during pregnancy, the prevention and treatment of post-phlebitic syndrome, the investigation of the clinical complications of antiphospholipid antibodies, and the diagnosis of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Dr. Ginsberg served as an Editorial Board Member for Evidence-based Cardiovascular Medicine in 1996 and served as a grant reviewer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada for several years. He also serves as a career investigator for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Dr. Appleton is a licensed naturopathic physician, writer, and educator in the field of evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine. He received his bachelor's degree from Reed College and his doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM). Dr. Appleton completed a residency at Bastyr University of Natural Health Sciences, where he was also on faculty as an adjunct professor of orthopedics and clinical medicine. Dr. Yoneda is an internist who specializes in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Prior to moving to Sacramento, he was assistant professor of medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno. Dr. Beuchamp received her bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island and her doctorate of naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University of Natural Health Sciences. Cofounder of South County Naturopaths, Inc. in Wakefield, RI, Dr. Beauchamp has worked as a practicing physician, and taught holistic medicine classes.

Dr. Reichman is the executive director of the New Jersey Medical School National Tuberculosis Center and professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine and Community Health at New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. He has been the principal investigator for several National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grants related to tuberculosis. Dr. Reichman serves as chairman of several CDC committees, including the National Coalition to Eliminate Tuberculosis and the National Tuberculosis Training Initiative. He participates in numerous professional organizations and societies, including the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, where he served as vice-chair of the Executive Committee; the American Lung Association, where he served as president; the American Thoracic Society; and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Reichman has published more than 200 articles, scientific reviews, and book chapters, many on the diagnosis, treatment, control, patient compliance with therapy, and epidemiology of tuberculosis and other infectious lung diseases. In 1993, he published the first comprehensive medical book covering tuberculosis, which is now in its second edition. His most recent book, Timebomb: The Global Epidemic of Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis, received the American Medical Writers Association''s Best Trade Medical Book award in 2002.

Dr. Weinstock specializes in psychopharmacology and perinatal psychiatry at her private practice in Mount Kisco, New York. She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, in which she has served as chairperson of the gender committee. Before going into private practice, Dr. Weinstock was coordinator of the Perinatal and Reproductive Psychiatry Service Outpatient Department of New York Hospital, Westchester Division of Weill Cornell's Department of Psychiatry. From 1993 to 1996 she was a consultant in psychopharmacology at the Center for Mental Health and Retardation in Woburn, Massachusetts. She is an accomplished speaker who has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences.

Ms. Turner, a food and nutrition writer specializing in healthful gourmet cooking, has been a monthly columnist and regular contributor to Better Nutrition, Great Life, Let's Live, Veggie Life, Vegetarian Times, and other magazines. She authored Mostly Macro (Inner Traditions, 1995) and Meals That Heal (Inner Traditions, 1996) and has worked as a private chef and taught cooking classes.

Dr. Clark is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan, where she is employed on a full-time basis. Dr. Clark is also an active member of the medical staff for the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority. Dr. Traughber is a radiologist with additional fellowship training in interventional radiology, body imaging, and musculoskeletal and body MRI. He has been on the staff of the St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Radiology Department in Boise, Idaho, since 1987. Dr. Traughber has held academic appointments at the University of Washington as clinical faculty and the University of Utah as clinical associate professor of radiology. Dr. Hyman is a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief, Pediatric Gastroenterology at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. Dr. Tharratt is an internist who specializes in pulmonology, medical toxicology, and emergency medical services. He is a professor of Medicine and Anesthesiology at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, interim chief of the Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, and chief of the Section of Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Toxicology in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. In addition, he serves as medical director of both the Sacramento County Emergency Medical Services and the Sacramento city and county fire departments.

Dr. Randy Burr is in private practice at Ada West Dermatology in Meridian, Idaho. He has a special interest in photo-therapeutics, laser surgery, cutaneous oncology, and pediatric dermatology. Dr. Burr is actively involved in medical education, teaching students and residents from the University of Utah, the University of Washington, Idaho State University, the Veterans Administration Medical Center, and the Family Practice Residency Program in Boise. Dr. Crichlow is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Washington, Montana Family Practice Residency, in Billings, Montana. Dr. Berkowitz is a specialist in gynecologic cancer who has devoted his career to teaching, writing and editing. He is William H. Baker Professor of Gynecology at Harvard Medical School and Co-Director of the New England Trophoblastic Disease Center. He has been affiliated with Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston since 1980 and was appointed Director of Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology in 1989. Dr. Pressman is an ophthalmologist with a special interest in pediatric ophthalmology and emergency medicine. He is in practice with The Eye Associates, P.A., in Boise, Idaho, and is a clinical instructor at the University of Utah Medical School.

Ms. Gailing is a writer and researcher specializing in natural health topics.
