As a student at Arizona State University, Abbie was enrolled in business classes and was not a very happy camper. Her creativity and writing skills were not being tested. It wasn't until one tearful conversation with her parents that the idea of a career in journalism/public relations became a reality. Immediately upon transferring to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication, Abbie found her passion. Upon graduation she did an internship with The Pointe Hilton Resorts where she honed her writing and event-planning skills. For five seasons she served as the assistant director of public relations for the Fiesta Bowl, where she was responsible for public relations and promotions for the bowl's 60-event festival. Since then she has owned and operated an independent marketing communications and event management firm and spent two years as an account executive with the EvansGroup. She has called HMA Public Relations her workplace since 1993. She works with HMA's clients on a wide variety of marketing communications strategies including media relations, special event management, community relations, issues management and marketing promotions. She provides these services to clients in both the private and public sectors, including such industries as healthcare, financial services, professional services, government affairs and tribal affairs, as well as not-for-profit organizations. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America's Counselor's Academy and has received awards from the PRSA, the Arizona Festivals and Events Association, International Association of Business Communicators and the City of Phoenix Mayor's Commission on Disability Affairs for her work in media relations and special event management. Active in the community, she is a past member of the board of directors for Florence Crittenton Services of Arizona. Abbie was a founding board member of the Arizona Festivals and Events Association and served as its president for two years. She is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class XVII and serves on the organization's board of directors. She is the past chair of the Women in Business Council for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.

Pat leads the American Red Cross Account Team at Grizzard. She and her staff plan and implement a variety of marketing channels for fundraising programs for over 520 Red Cross chapters. She is a certified fundraising executive with 25 years of fundraising experience and 13 years' experience in the Direct Marketing industry. During this time, Pat has raised money for the United Way, American Red Cross, The High Museum of Art, Habitat for Humanity, the Center for the Visually Impaired, and the New York Philharmonic. Pat's background includes 13 years of staff experience with the Red Cross. She was a former Financial Development Director for the Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter, American Red Cross National Instructor in Fundraising and a National Disaster Fundraising Officer. During her tenure with Grizzard, she has gained experience in multi-channel marketing. Pat provides strategic direction for a team of professionals that translates into strong fundraising programs for American Red Cross clients. Her comprehensive fundraising and marketing knowledge have enabled clients to benefit from integrated media, planned giving, strategic consulting, data analysis, newsletters and direct mail. Pat specializes in conducting workshops on Direct Mail Fundraising and on Major Gifts. Also an active volunteer in her community, Pat's volunteer experiences have included: President of the Members Guild of the High Museum; Executive Committee member of the HMA Board of Directors for Peachtree Arts; member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals; member of the Direct Marketing Association; volunteer fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity; sighted guide for the blind; Sunday school teacher at Stone Mountain Methodist Church; and member of the Maryville College Alumni Board. Pat is also active in local politics and serves on the Executive Board of Stone Mountain City Vision.
