Based in the Philadelphia office, John has developed a proven ability to advise senior executives on the process of identifying, attracting and evaluating leaders to build successful companies. His clients have ranged from the Fortune 100 to emerging technology companies. Currently, John specializes in leading senior level searches in the cable, media and telecommunication industries for HFA and has led projects for clients including Comcast, Sprint, SES Americom, Nextel and the National Football League. In this role, John leverages his own personal business experience as he has participated in two initial public offerings and has lead high performing teams, which enable him to understand growth businesses and the importance of leadership. Before joining Howard Fischer Associates, John was an Associate with Heidrick and Struggles where he managed all phases of the research strategy, candidate development, qualification and recruitment of senior level Information Technology executives. Prior, John was a Human Resources Manager for Capital One Financial. During this time, John helped the company grow from a small regional bankcard operation to one of the largest diversified credit card companies in the world. John began his career as Assistant Dean of Admissions for his alma mater, Hampden-Sydney College. In addition to his HFA responsibilities, John is an active Board Member for PhillyCarShare, a local non-for-profit organization. John earned a Bachelor Arts, Psychology from Hampden Sydney College.
