Since he joined Kronos in 1979, Aron Ain has played a role in nearly every functional department at the organization, helping to build what is today a $715 million enterprise software powerhouse. Ain was the company’s first service person in 1979 and first sales person in 1980. He served as vice president of worldwide sales and service in the 1990s, and became chief operating officer in 2002. In October 2005, Ain was named chief executive officer and a member of the Kronos Board of Directors. Ain’s interactive and engaging leadership style is credited with creating an energized corporate culture at Kronos. He believes that employee retention inevitably leads to loyal and satisfied customers. According to Ain, “Employees who feel valued stay longer and develop a deeper understanding of and stronger relationship with our customers. It is their experience and knowledge that allows Kronos to deliver the best products and customer service.” Ain’s focus on customer service never waivers and is the reason that a customer-centric orientation is a core value intricately woven into the fabric of the company. In 2007, Ain played the leading role in negotiating the sale of Kronos to private equity firm Hellman & Friedman for $1.8 billion. A leading authority on the subject of managing a global workforce, Ain has been a driving force in expanding Kronos footprint to meet the workforce management needs of its multinational customers. Ain has travelled extensively to meet with customers, prospects, and industry influencers in countries such as Australia, Belgium, China, France, India, and the UK. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in economics and government from Hamilton College, Ain has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University.

Trained as both a certified public accountant and lawyer, Lacy began his professional career at Bose Corporation in 1978 as both their legal and tax counsel and assistant treasurer. When the company started to under-perform in the early 1980s, Lacy was given increased responsibility with the exodus of senior management. One of his career highlights at Bose was signing the first Bose/GM auto sound systems agreement, for which Lacy raised the capital to make it happen, all before the age of 35. From Bose, Lacy moved to Bird, Incorporated, where he served as vice president of finance and treasurer. From Bird, he moved to Remanco Systems Corporation, a manufacturer of point-of-sale systems for the hospitality industry, where he served as vice president of finance. Lacy joined Kronos in 1988 and most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer. His proudest accomplishment at Kronos is having taken the company public in 1992. But he is recognized for so much more. During his tenure, he has helped navigate the company through three economic downturns to become one of the world's most consistent-performing enterprise software companies. Under Lacy's financial leadership, Kronos has achieved an incredibly strong revenue growth and profitability track record that would make any chief financial officer envious. He also has orchestrated more than 50 acquisitions for Kronos, including dealers and other vendors in the workforce management market or adjacent spaces. In October 2005, Lacy assumed all the responsibilities of president, in additional to overseeing the corporate-wide finance, legal, information technology, manufacturing, human resources, and administrative functions of the company. He is also responsible for investor relations, strategic planning, and business development activities. Known among Kronos management ranks as the "sound of reason," Lacy's top core value is honesty in all matters. A leader by nature, he is humble and respectful, and very in tune with facilitating a working environment where all employees are treated with respect. A frequent speaker at financial conferences, Lacy holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College and Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

As senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Jim Kizielewicz is responsible for developing and guiding the global marketing strategy for Kronos. He oversees the company's industry, product, and services marketing functions, as well as corporate marketing and corporate communications. Kizielewicz has served in a variety of management and executive capacities for Kronos since he joined the company in 1981, including leadership positions in services, business development, product marketing, and training. As head of corporate strategy when Kronos was a publicly traded company, Kizielewicz was the principal architect of several strategic acquisitions, including the company's entrée into the talent management field. A sought-after thought-leader and speaker, few executives in the field of workforce management can match the experience that Kizielewicz has accumulated during his multi-faceted tenure with Kronos. From the pioneering days of introducing micro-processing technology for time-capture to the latest in biometric security devices, Kizielewicz has been a consistent contributor to the industry's continuing evolution. Kizielewicz earned a bachelor's degree in government from Hamilton College, and has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University.

As chief financial officer, Mark Julien plays a leadership role in determining financial strategy, directing, and overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. In 2007, Julien played a key role in negotiating the sale of Kronos to private equity firm Hellman & Friedman for $1.8 billion. Julien's passion for results has helped propel Kronos to new levels of financial success. Prior to being named chief financial officer in 2006, Julien was vice president of finance. In this role, he managed a financial organization that encompassed worldwide tax, treasury, accounting, payroll, and credit and collection functions. Under his direction, the finance organization was tasked with the development and maintenance of corporate policies to ensure compliance with internal control standards, internal and SEC financial reporting, corporate budgeting and analysis, revenue recognition analysis and support, design and administration of field sales and service compensation plans, as well as financial analysis for acquisitions. Before joining Kronos in 1995, Julien was a certified public accountant (CPA) at Ernst & Young. Julien earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University.

As senior vice president of products and technology, Peter George oversees three critical departments for Kronos: engineering; the global product business function; and Kronos Talent Management Division. Long considered a visionary in the technology industry, George strives to reconcile the unlimited potential of technology with the pragmatic practice of building great products. George joined Kronos as vice president of software development in 1997. Among his many accomplishments at Kronos, George introduced "agile" development to Kronos engineering, enabling the organization to develop technology more quickly and better suited to customer needs. He has also been instrumental in developing Kronos talent management product, putting a premium on providing customers with the best technology to serve their needs. George is known for his open, direct, honest, and hands-on management style. Before joining Kronos, George spent nearly 17 years at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he learned the real-world practice of creating and leading teams that make great software. He served as lead technologist for the VAX/VMS operating system and for Digital's workstation development and was eventually promoted to director of storage software, responsible for establishing and rapidly growing Digital's storage management software products and business. George earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and has completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.

As vice president and general counsel, Alyce Moore oversees the legal aspects of all relevant corporate functions for Kronos on a worldwide basis. Moore joined Kronos in 1990, and became general counsel in 1999. She and her team provide counsel to expedite processes and take preventative measures to save the company time and resources. As Kronos has grown over the years to become a large, global software company, Moore has ensured that her department reflects that corporate culture through its strategy and execution. After 16 years working at Digital Equipment Corporation, Moore pursued her law degree. Her unique career path gave her the ability and foresight to lay the foundation for the legal group at Kronos, and to subsequently grow it to become a critical and strategic division within the company. Moore earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Clark University and a juris doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center. She volunteers with the Massachusetts Department of Social Services as a foster care case reviewer, and helps with the fundraising efforts for the upkeep and preservation of the Nubble Lighthouse at York, Maine.

Christopher Todd, our Senior Vice President of Sales, joined us in July 2000. Previously, he served as Blackbaud's Vice President of Corporate Development, heading up our business development efforts and our analytics division. Prior to joining us, Mr. Todd served as the Director of Business Development and Legal Affairs for NetGen Inc. from July 1999 until July 2000 and as an Associate with McKinsey & Co. from 1997 until 1999. Mr. Todd holds a BA from Harvard College and a JD from Yale Law School.

With over 20 years of experience at Kronos Incorporated, one of the most successful technology companies in the world, Mr. Brown is a seasoned executive with broad experience in marketing, strategic alliances, business development and project management in the high tech industry. When Mr. Brown joined Kronos, it was a $15 million privately-held firm with only 75 employees. During his tenure, he helped grow the company to a $500+ million publicly-held organization with 3400 employees by heading up increasingly critical initiatives, most recently serving as Vice President of Marketing Services. Before that, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Simplex Division, ADP Operations, where he directed all aspects of acquiring and integrating the Simplex time and attendance division. As Vice President of Strategic Alliances and New Business Development, he created a division to establish partnerships with adjacent industry leaders and product partners. He began his career with Kronos in product and marketing management.

As vice president of sales, North America, John O'Brien is responsible for managing the sales of Kronos products and services in North America. O'Brien joined Kronos in 2006 with a more than 20-year record of driving ground-breaking revenue growth at such well-known Fortune 200 companies as EMC and Xerox Corporation. Prior to joining Kronos, O'Brien spent six years at EMC, the information and storage management leader, as vice president of global accounts, responsible for driving revenue and customer satisfaction for EMC's largest and most strategic accounts. During his tenure, global accounts grew at 25 percent per year - twice the EMC average. Before making his mark at EMC, O'Brien established his reputation as a sales leader at Xerox Corporation. Frequently recognized as one of Xerox's top revenue producers over the course of his tenure, O'Brien quickly rose through the ranks to senior vice president and general manager. O'Brien oversaw a $2 billion revenue stream as he created and managed Xerox's financial services and healthcare operations for the Americas. During his tenure with Xerox, O'Brien also served as vice president of marketing and vice president and general manager for the New England region. O'Brien holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York and has completed advanced professional development at Harvard Business School and Kellogg School of Management.

As vice president of client support services, Michael Biery is responsible for providing Kronos customers with the right mix of services to ensure that Kronos products meet their business needs. Biery joined Kronos in 2003 with more than 30 years of leadership experience in the software industry. Biery's career began as vice president of a copper and uranium mining company in Utah, where his quest for more efficient business processes led him to develop mine planning and financial software for the industry. In the early 1980s, he sold the software company that he founded to General Electric. From there, Biery began his ascent within the quickly evolving software industry, moving on to gain extensive experience and hold executive leadership positions at a number of successful software companies including Dun & Bradstreet and Sybase. Biery served as general manager at Dun & Bradstreet for the UNIX product line, and vice president of development and client services, where he re-engineered and consolidated seven worldwide support centers to two, and gained international operations experience. At Sybase, Biery served as vice president of client services, overseeing technical support for more than 10,000 customers. Biery left Sybase for Israel-based mobile workforce management software company, ViryaNet, Inc., where he served as vice president of operations and professional services for North America and helped lead the company to a successful IPO in 2000. Biery earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Akron. A recipient of the Mass Software Council's Mentor Program Award, he is a frequent speaker on the topics of technical support and customer service.

As vice president of international operations, Mick Adamson is chartered with expanding the company's global reach and maximizing performance in the more than 60 countries in which Kronos operates. Adamson has more than two decades of executive experience overseeing sales, marketing, and operations on a global scale. Prior to joining Kronos in 2006, Adamson was the Americas president of SurfControl, an internet security provider. In his five years at SurfControl, the company's revenue grew from $12 million to $70 million. Before joining SurfControl, Adamson had spent more than a decade at Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. (SCO), a global leader in server-based software for networked business computing. He held a variety of positions at SCO, from running the company's European distribution sales, to serving as the vice president Asia Pacific, during which time he lived in Singapore. In 1997, Adamson assumed the role of founding vice president and general manager of Tarantella Incorporated, an entrepreneurial start-up within SCO. For the next three years, he was responsible for setting up the worldwide infrastructure for the market development and sales management of next-generation, secure, remote-access UNIX management products. The Tarantella family of software products has since been acquired by Sun Microsystems.

As vice president of human resources, Patrick Moquin oversees the global human resources (HR) practice at Kronos. Moquin joined Kronos in 2006, bringing with him more than 25 years of management experience at well-known emerging and established companies such as Analog Devices, Sun Microsystems and Unitrode Corporation. Prior to joining Kronos, Moquin led the HR service delivery model for the largest division of Analog Devices, a leading producer of signal processing technology. In this role, Moquin oversaw a global workforce of more than 2,000 employees and was heavily involved in strategic acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Moquin was appointed HR leader at the first Massachusetts campus of Sun Microsystems located in Chelmsford, Mass. As senior director of worldwide field operations human resources at Sun, Moquin managed a global team and aligned the HR practices of the company’s Asian, Australian, European, and North American operations. Following Sun, Moquin led the HR department at Unitrode Corporation, a major designer and supplier of power management components. As a vice president with Unitrode, Moquin managed the integration activities around the company’s $1.2B acquisition by Texas Instruments in 1999. Moquin earned a bachelor’s degree in business from New Hampshire College and a master’s degree in business administration from Rivier College, as well as a juris doctor from New England School of Law. He is a member of the steering committee of The Workforce Institute, a Kronos-sponsored think tank that helps organizations drive performance by addressing human capital management issues that affect both hourly and salaried employees.

As the oldest of five children, parent of three, and leader of one of the largest software developers in Massachusetts for 28 years, the role of mentor has been a natural and lifelong post for Mark Ain. The son of business-savvy parents — a self-employed father, a mother who was one of the first women to graduate from Columbia Law School, and entrepreneurial grandparents — Ain exhibited his own entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills early in life. Growing up on Long Island, New York, Ain took an active role in raising his younger siblings. After graduating from high school, where he was on the varsity wrestling team, captain of the math team, and passionate about photography, Ain went on to college at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he knew he would eventually start his own company, telling classmates, "I will make my own way and be successful." In addition to a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT, Ain earned a master's degree in business administration, with a concentration in organizational development and marketing, from the Simon School at the University of Rochester. After a variety of jobs including a stint with Digital Equipment Corporation and a small market research firm, Ain grew tired of the corporate game and weary of relinquishing creative ideas only to see them not executed to their full potential. He began a quest for the right product idea to start a company. During this period, he was an independent management consultant, focused on strategic planning, product development, and market research for technology companies. It was then that the mechanical time clock came to his attention. With the idea to put a microprocessor inside a time clock, Ain set to work on a prototype. On October 31, 1977, Kronos was incorporated, named for the Greek word for time. In June 1978, after an initial round of angel capital funding, the company moved into an old ironworks plant in Brighton, Mass. Including the proceeds of its 1992 initial public offering, the company raised only $19 million in funding — a remarkably small amount for what is now a half-billion dollar plus company. Ain led Kronos from 1977-2005, to become one of the world's most successful software companies. Under Ain's leadership, Kronos sustained one of the longest records of growth and profitability in the software industry and earned the reputation as the market leader in workforce management. Today, as executive chairman of the Board of Directors, Ain remains actively engaged in Kronos operations. He also serves on the board of directors of several public, private, and charitable organizations. On a personal level, Ain enjoys supporting a number of charitable organizations. Ain's success can be credited in part to his quiet and humane management style, which is best reflected by a motto of philosopher Lao-Tzu: "A leader is best when people barely know he exists. Not so good when people obey and acclaim him. Worse when they despise him. But of a good leader who talks little, when his work is done and his aim fulfilled, they will say, 'We did it ourselves.'"

Jon Hanson is responsible for the global sales activities of Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc. With over 25 years of strategic sales management experience, Hanson leads Cornerstone OnDemand's sales team within North America, and is credited with strengthening the disciplined sales methodology to increase sales and deliver greater value to new and existing customers. Hanson brings a proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies that create and present compelling business cases with supporting ROI. His strong background in human resources, accounting and operations, helps organizations drive greater value from their Human Capital investments by mapping solutions that drive a greater rate of return. Prior to joining Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc. Hanson served as Region Vice President, Sales for PeopleSoft, Inc. as well as Vice President of Sales for Apriso Corporation, a privately held manufacturing execution and labor management solution provider. Other experiences include sales management responsibilities at Kronos Inc., a premier workforce management and labor analytics as well MRO, Inc., a provider of asset management solutions. As Vice President of Sales, Hanson is responsible for shaping and driving global sales and marketing efforts to support Cornerstone OnDemand's corporate vision and exceed its business objectives. Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science from California State University Long Beach in Business Management.

David B. Kiser served as a director from 1989 to January 1997 and rejoined the Board in October 2002. Kiser is a director with Sage Partners, LLC, a consulting and investment firm specializing in strategic leadership. Before joining Sage, he was an independent management consultant and investor. From 1992 until 1996, he served as chairman of the board and CEO of Gradient Corporation, an environmental consulting firm. Before that he was a partner and director of Cambridge Research Institute, Inc., a general management and healthcare consulting firm.
