Dirk Schlimm is the Vice President, Corporate Affairs for Husky Injection Molding Systems, a world leading supplier of machinery and equipment to the plastics industry. Husky has been consistently recognized as one of Canada's leading employers and corporate citizens. In his role, Mr. Schlimm has global responsibility for legal, intellectual property, human resources, environment, health & safety, and Board management. A main focus of his work are issues related to organizational development, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, international negotiation and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Husky in 1993, Mr. Schlimm completed his post-graduate traineeship in judicial service at the Court of Appeals in Cologne, Germany, worked as a legal intern at the law firm of Morris/Rose/Ledgett in Toronto, and as a teaching assistant at the Institute for Public International Law in Bonn, Germany. Mr. Schlimm studied law at the Universities of Geneva, Switzerland, and Bonn, Germany where he earned his law degree. He also obtained a doctorate in international law from the University of Konstanz, Germany, and is a fellow of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. Mr. Schlimm is a Board member of The Leprosy Mission Canada and a former Board member of the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
