Jonathan W. Ayers, age 54, has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of IDEXX since January 2002. Prior to joining IDEXX, from 1999 to 2001, Mr. Ayers was President of Carrier Corporation, the then-largest business unit of United Technologies Corporation, and from 1997 to 1999, he was President of Carrier Asia Pacific Operations. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Ayers was Vice President, Strategic Planning at United Technologies. Before joining United Technologies, from 1986 to 1995, Mr. Ayers held various positions at Morgan Stanley & Co. in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Ayers worked as a strategy consultant for Bain & Company from 1983 to 1986 and was in the field sales organization of IBM's Data Processing Division from 1978 to 1981. Mr. Ayers holds an undergraduate degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University and graduated from Harvard Business School in 1983.

John Cottingham is Life Technologies' Chief Legal Officer, and served as Invitrogen's Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since May 2004. He served as Vice President, General Counsel for Invitrogen from September 2000 until May 2004. Prior to the merger of the former Life Technologies, Inc. Ms. Raines became Chief Financial Officer of the Company in October 2003. Ms. Raines was Corporate Vice President of Finance of the Company starting in May 1995, Vice President and Treasurer of Finance from March 1995 to May 1995, Director of Finance from 1988 to March 1995, and Controller from 1985 to 1988.
Ms. Raines earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Wallen has been Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of the Company since September 2003and has been leading the Company’s infectious disease product manufacturing operations since December 2008. He led the Company’s pharmaceutical products business from September 2003 until the Company sold certain product lines and restructured that business in 2008.
Before joining the Company, Dr. Wallen was Senior Vice President and Head of the Office of Technology for the Diagnostics Division of Bayer Healthcare. In his ten years with Bayer, Dr. Wallen held various senior scientific and leadership positions, including Head of Research and Development for Bayer's laboratory testing and Head of Research for the nucleic acid diagnostics segment.
Dr. Wallen earned his bachelor's degree in zoology and his master's in microbiology from Michigan State University and his doctorate in molecular biology from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 scientific papers and articles covering topics in immunology, virology, oncology and detection methodologies.

Prior to joining Dell Incorporated, Dr. Leddy served as the Executive Vice President for Human Resources at Promus Hotel Corporation (Doubletree, Embassy Suites). Dr. Leddy also served in a variety of executive and human resource positions at PepsiCo. Dr. Leddy received his B.A. in Psychology from Creighton University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

He was General Manager, Water from September 1997 to January 2000, and Director of Research and Development from February 1993 to September 1997. Dr. Naqui joined the Company in 1993 as a result of its acquisition of Environetics, where he was the Director of Research and Development. Prior to joining Environetics, he was a Research and Development manager with Becton, Dickinson and Company.
Dr. Naqui received his PhD from the Department of Chemical Enzymology at Moscow State University. He received his post-doctoral training at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Deady has been Corporate Vice President and General Counsel of the Company since August 1999, and has been leading the Company’s business development activities since April 2005 and its regulatory functions since October 2008. Mr. Deady was Deputy General Counsel of the Company from June 1997. Before joining the Company in June 1997, Mr. Deady was Deputy General Counsel of Thermo Electron Corporation (now Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.), a provider of analytical and laboratory products and services. Mr. Deady was previously affiliated with Hale and Dorr, a Boston law firm.
Mr. Deady earned a bachelor's degree in English from Amherst College and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
Mr. Polewaczyk joined IDEXX as Corporate Vice President of the Company in February 2007 and oversees the Company's Rapid Assay and Digital businesses. Mr. Polewaczyk came to IDEXX from Philips Medical Systems, a subsidiary of Royal Philips Electronics, The Netherlands, where he was General Manager, Medical Consumables and Sensors Business. In his 15 years with Philips, Mr. Polewaczyk held various senior marketing and product development positions.
Mr. Polewaczyk holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in business from Boston University.
Dr. Powers joined IDEXX as Corporate Vice President in February 2009 to oversee the Company’s worldwide reference laboratories business. Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Powers was Vice President responsible for the Cancer Diagnostics business of Becton Dickinson and Company from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Powers came to Becton Dickinson as a result of its acquisition in 2007 of TriPath Imaging Inc., where he held various positions from 2001 to 2007, most recently serving as President, TriPath Oncology business unit. Prior to joining Tripath, Dr. Powers was employed for five years by Ventana Medical Systems, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of Manufacturing Operations. Before that, he spent seven years in various technical manufacturing roles at Organon Teknika Corporation.
Dr. Powers holds a PhD in biochemical engineering from North Carolina State University, an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, an MS in chemical engineering from Clemson University, and a BA in chemistry from Wake Forest University.

Prior to joining the Company, from 1994 to 2007, Mr. Goodspeed held various positions at J.M. Huber Corporation, a privately held company in the chemicals, food ingredients, building products, energy and timber industries, most recently as Sector CEO for Natural Resources and Technology-based Services. He previously held the position of President of Huber’s Engineered Woods. Before joining Huber, Mr. Goodspeed served as Executive Vice President of Japan-based Pasona International, managing their non-Japanese businesses of the Pasona Group. He also spent three years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and three years as an attorney.
Mr. Goodspeed graduated from Dartmouth College and received his JD from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Brown became a Corporate Vice President of the Company in December, 2008 and oversees the Company’s Instrument Research and Development and Manufacturing operations. Before joining the Company, Dr. Brown was a Corporate Officer and Vice President of R&D, Assays and Instrument Systems for the Diagnostic Division of Abbott Laboratories, Inc. Most recently he was responsible for R&D portfolio development, new product launches,
and basic research for immunoassay, clinical chemistry and instrument systems. In his
twenty-five years with Abbott, Dr. Brown held various senior leadership positions, developing in-depth expertise in product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance for both life science and instrument systems.
Dr. Brown earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his doctorate in medicinal chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy.

Beth Bryant joined Digitalmill as Communications Director in February 2000. After graduating from the University of Maine with a degree in economics in 1990, Beth moved to Calfornia and put her passion for skiing to work in the marketing department at Kirkwood Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe. Eventually, Beth moved back to Maine, working as the sales and marketing coordinator for a nationally recognized jewelry designer and at Idexx Laboratories, where she sold veterinary diagnostic supplies. Away from work, Beth enjoys spending time with her dog Lucky, boating in Casco Bay in the summer and skiing at Sugarloaf during the winter.

Dr. Judy Aronson is a graduate of Tufts University, College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing an internship at the California Animal Hospital, Dr. Aronson began private practice, and has been doing so for almost ten years. She currently works for Idexx Laboratories and is a veterinary consultant for our hospital.
Dr. Terri Bonenberger is a board certified veterinary dermatologist who graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a two year residency and one year clinical fellowship in dermatology at the University of California, Davis. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2000. After completion of her residency, Dr. Bonenberger practiced at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, one of the largest referral-only specialty hospitals in the southeast. During her time at GCVS she also served as a dermatology consultant specializing in dermatopathology for Antech Laboratories and now works for IDEXX Laboratories as their only dermatology consultant. Dr. Bonenberger has a strong interest in ear disease, allergic disease and dermatopathology. She has worked closely with both veterinary surgeons and radiologists in the management and understanding of chronic ear disease. She is actively involved in the ACVD and is a member of the International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology. She has published numerous scientific articles and lectures nationally.

Raymond V. Dittamore has served as a Director of the Company since December 2002. Mr. Dittamore is a retired audit partner of Ernst & Young LLP, an international accounting firm. Mr. Dittamore retired in 2001 after 35 years of service with that firm, including 14 years as the managing partner of the firms San Diego office. Mr. Dittamore is also a director of Invitrogen Corporation, Gen-Probe Incorporated, and Digirad Corporation. Mr. Dittamore received a B.S. degree from San Diego State University.

Rebecca M. Henderson, age 48, has been a Director of IDEXX since July 2003. Dr. Henderson has served as the Eastman Kodak Professor of Management at the Sloan School of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1988, where she specializes in technology strategy and the broader strategic problems faced by firms in high technology industries. Dr. Henderson has also been a research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research since 1995. Dr. Henderson is a director of Ember Corporation and also sits on the editorial boards of Management Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, Research Policy, The Economics of Innovation and New Technology, and the Strategy Management Journal.
Robert J. Murray, 67, has been a director of THG since 1996. He was Chairman of the Board of New England Business Service, Inc. (“NEBS”), a business-to-business direct marketing company, from 1995 until 2004 and served on the Board of Directors of NEBS from 1991 until 2004. He was Chief Executive Officer of NEBS from 1995 through 2003. Prior to joining NEBS, Mr. Murray was an executive officer with The Gillette Company, Inc., a consumer products company. Mr. Murray is also a director of Tupperware Brands Corp., a publicly-traded consumer-direct seller of personal and household products, LoJack Corporation, a publicly-traded automobile security system manufacturer, Delhaize Group, a publicly-traded international food retailer based in Belgium, and IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., a publicly-traded developer, manufacturer and distributor of products and services for veterinary, food and water testing markets. The Board has determined that Mr. Murray is an independent director, based on the independence standards adopted by the Board and the requirements of the NYSE.
Mr. Murray is Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Mr. Murray’s term of office as a director of THG expires in 2011.

Tom currently works in the Office of the Chairman with responsibilities for leadership development, leadership training, communication, integrating Group activities and leading special group projects. With a love of teaching, Tom has more than 25 years experience leading and facilitating various senior executive groups on topics related to building winning strategies. Tom has directed over 300 projects during the last 20 years in more than 100 industries. He has served his community in various capacities including on the board of his church, as a long-time soccer coach, with the Scouts, and as a consultant and counselor to various not-for-profit organizations.

William T. End was named Chair of the Board of Directors of Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. in June 2005. Mr. End received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston College in 1969 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1971.
