David B. Speer is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ITW. Mr. Speer joined ITW in 1978 and has held various selling, marketing and general management responsibilities within the Construction Products organization. In 1984, he became General Manager of ITW's Buildex business and assumed additional responsibilities for the Ramset/Red Head business in 1987 and for the Canadian Construction Products businesses from 1988. In 1992, he became General Manager of the Paslode North American businesses. In September 1993, he became Group Vice President of the Construction Products organization, with responsibility for the global Buildex businesses, the Canadian Construction businesses and the Paslode North American businesses. In 1994, the Paslode European businesses were added to his responsibilities and in January 1995 the Asia Pacific Construction Products businesses. In September 1995, he became Executive Vice President of the global Construction Products businesses. In 1997, he added the additional responsibilities of ITW's Finishing Systems businesses globally. In 2003, Mr. Speer transferred responsibilities for the Finishing Systems businesses to another ITW Executive Vice President while assuming responsibility for the global Wilsonart businesses. In August 2004, he was named President of ITW. In August 2005, Mr. Speer was elected to the position of Chief Executive Officer and in May 2006 he assumed the additional responsibilities as Chairman. Mr. Speer graduated from Iowa State University in 1973, earning a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering. In 1977, he received a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from The Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University. Mr. Speer is a member of the Board of Directors of Rockwell Automation and the Advisory Board of Northwestern University's Masters of Manufacturing and Management Program. He is on the Boards of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Executives' Club of Chicago, Rush Medical Center, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Economic Club of Chicago. Mr. Speer is also a member of The Commercial Club and The Business Council.

David C. Parry is Executive Vice President of ITW. He oversees the Polymers and Fluids business units. Prior to his current position at ITW, Mr. Parry served as President of ITW Performance Polymers, a $650 million adhesive and formulation group with 32 operating units. He joined ITW in 1994 and has also served as Vice President and General Manager of ITW Performance Polymers and General Manager of Devon Plexus and ITW Devcon. Mr. Parry obtained his BSC in Chemistry at Manchester University in 1974 and subsequently achieved his Masters in 1975 followed by his Doctorate in 1977.

Robert E. Brunner is Executive Vice President of ITW. He is responsible for ITW's automotive engineered components businesses. Prior to his current position, he served as President of ITW's Global Automotive Fasteners division. Additionally, he was President of North American Automotive Fasteners, Vice President/General Manager of Shakeproof Automotive Division and has held several sales and marketing positions within ITW. Mr. Brunner received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois, where he also completed Graduate Studies in Economics. He earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.

Roland M. Martel is Executive Vice President of ITW. He is responsible for ITW's automotive fastener businesses. Prior to his current position, Mr. Martel served as President of ITW's Global Automotive Division. He joined ITW in 1994 as the General Manager of ITW Anchor Stampings. Over the years, he has held various Vice President and President positions in the ITW Metal Components division. Mr. Martel earned his B.A. degree in Mathematics from Colby College in Waterville, ME in 1976. In 1982 he received a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Operations Management from Cornell University.

Gary F. Anton is the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing of ITW (Illinois Tool Works Inc.), which employs more than 52,000 people worldwide and operates over 600 business units. Anton, 56 joined ITW in 1978 and has held position of Director, Audit & Due Diligence Vice President of Administrative Services, and in 2001 Vice President of Strategic Sourcing. Gary and his wife Maureen reside in South Barrington. Gary has his B.A. from Northern Illinois University.

Lee A. Sheridan is Vice President, Research and Development of ITW. Mr. Sheridan joined Signode in 1985 as Director of Research, managing technical development activities for plastic strapping, crystallized PET containers, and high strength structural plastics products. From 1987 to 1998 he was Director of ITW Materials Research and Development and was responsible for materials-related process and product development activities in support of all ITW divisions. Since 1999, he has directed the overall operation of the ITW Technology Center. Prior to joining ITW, Mr. Sheridan was the Manager of Technical Development at Rubbermaid, Inc. and has also held positions at Amoco Chemicals Corporation. He has served on the Industrial Research Institute Board of Directors and as Subcommittee Chairman for Globalization of Research and Development. Mr. Sheridan received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Mark W. Croll is the Vice President, Patents & Technology of ITW. Mr. Croll is responsible for all Intellectual Property related activities for the corporation, including identifying, capturing and enforcing rights in proprietary new technology, coordinating with various marketing groups on trademark and domain name registration and enforcement policy and proactively administering related licensing activities. Prior to his employment at ITW, Mr. Croll had varying legal responsibilities in both corporate and private practice. He holds a J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University.

Fred Reckner is Vice-President of Finance at Dairyland Seed Co., Inc.. He joined the company in June 2005. Fred directs the Accounting Department and is responsible for internal and external financial reporting and management of all treasury functions. He is a permanent member of the Executive Committee interacting with corporate management, corporate financial institutions, independent audit firms and the Board of Directors. Fred has over 25 years of accounting experience working at The West Bend Company and most recently serving with an Illinois Tool Works, Inc. Division in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of UW Milwaukee with a MBA and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a BS in Accounting. He is married with two children and resides in West Bend, WI.

Don H. Davis, Jr., 66, retired as Chairman of the Board of Rockwell Automation, Inc., a leading global provider of industrial automation power, control and information products and services, in February 2005, a position he had held since 1998. From 1997 to 2004 he served as Rockwell’s Chief Executive Officer. He is a director of Rockwell Automation, Inc. and Journal Communications, Inc. Mr. Davis has served as adirector of ITW since 2000.

Harold B. Smith, 72, is a retired officer of ITW and is a director of W.W. Grainger Inc. and Northern Trust Corporation and its subsidiary, The Northern Trust Company. Mr. Smith has served as a director of ITW since 1968.

James A. Skinner, 61, has served as Vice Chairman of McDonald's Corporation, a restaurant chain, since 2003 and Chief Executive Officer since November 2004, previously serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of McDonald's Restaurant Group from February 2002 to December 2002; President and Chief Operating Officer of McDonald's Europe, Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa from June 2001 to February 2002; and President of McDonald's-Europe from December 1997 to June 2001. He is a director of McDonald’s Corporation and Walgreen Co. and was elected as a director of ITW in August 2005.
