Barry M. Ariko has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Mirapoint, Inc., a private technology company that produces infrastructure for managing and securing Internet messaging, since November 2003, and has been Chairman of the Board of Mirapoint since December 2003. He was a private consultant from October 2001 to October 2003. From April 2001 until September 2001, Mr. Ariko was Senior Vice President of Peregrine Systems, Inc., an infrastructure management software company, and from April 2001 until June 2002 was a member of its Board of Directors. From March 2000 until the acquisition of Extricity, Inc. by Peregrine in April 2001, Mr. Ariko served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Extricity, a private Internet software provider, and he also served as Chairman of the Board of Extricity from March 2000 to April 2001. In September 2002, Peregrine filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of Title 11 of the United States Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Peregrine emerged from bankruptcy court supervision in August 2003 and was acquired by Hewlett-Packard Company in December 2005. From March 1999 to January 2000, Mr. Ariko was a Senior Vice President of America Online, Inc., where he was responsible for the Netscape Enterprise Group. From August 1998 until the acquisition of Netscape Communications Corporation by America Online in March 1999, Mr. Ariko served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Netscape. From 1994 to August 1998, Mr. Ariko was Executive Vice President of Oracle Corporation. Mr. Ariko currently serves as a director of Autonomy Corporation plc and a privately held company.

He has over 33 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including Shire Pharmaceuticals Group plc and businesses operated by Merck KGaA and Merck & Co. He became our Chairman, CEO and President in 2009 and has been a member of our Board of Directors since 2004.
Mr. Emmens is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shire and was its Chief Executive Officer from March 2003 through June 2008. Before joining Shire in 2003, Mr. Emmens served as president of Merck KGaA’s global prescription pharmaceuticals business in Darmstadt, Germany. In 1999, he joined Merck KGaA and established EMD Pharmaceuticals, its United States prescription pharmaceutical business. Mr. Emmens held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at EMD Pharmaceuticals from 1999 to 2001. From 1998 until October 2001, Dr. Friedman served as President of DuPont Pharmaceuticals Research Laboratories, a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company (formerly The DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company), from 1994 to 1998 he served as President of Research and Development of The DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company, and from 1991 to 1994 he served as Senior Vice President at Merck Research Laboratories. John Keller joined the diaDexus Board as a Director in December 2003. Dr. Keller has been Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer of Incyte Corporation since September 2003. Prior to joining Incyte, Dr. Keller was with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) since its formation in 2001, and with SmithKline Beecham since 1987. Patricia S. Andrews joined Incyte as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in October 2008.
From 1991 to 2008, Ms. Andrews was at Pfizer in various roles of increasing responsibility in Corporate Strategic Planning and Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations. Ms. Andrews was most recently Vice President, General Manager of the US Oncology business unit and Vice President, Specialty Markets, responsible for US marketing of oncology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, anti-infectives, HIV and all products still sold but no longer actively marketed in the US. Prior to Pfizer, from 1985 to 1990, Ms. Andrews held various positions at Marine Midland Bank, including Vice President, Capital Finance.
Ms. Andrews has an MBA from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in history and political science from Brown University.
Richard S. Levy, M.D., age 51, has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Drug Development and Medical Officer since January 2009 and joined the company as Senior Vice President of Drug Development in August 2003. Prior to joining Incyte, Dr. Levy held positions of increasing responsibilities in drug development, clinical research and regulatory affairs at Celgene, from 2002 to 2003, DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company, from 1997 to 2002, and Sandoz (now part of Novartis), from 1991 to 1997. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Levy was Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Levy is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and received his A.B. in Biology from Brown University and his M.D. from the University of Pennsylania.

Dr. Donny Strosberg is an internationally renowned biochemist and currently professor of infectology at the Scripps Institute's new facilities in Palm Beach County, Florida. Dr. Strosberg, has been in biological research for nearly 40 years and made significant discoveries in the fields of biochemistry and immunology. at the University of Paris, the Pasteur Institute and the Cochin Institute of Molecular Genetics in Paris, the Free University of Brussels, Belgium, and Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, both in Boston. In addition, he has more than 20 years experience as an investor and co-founder of 5 biotechnology companies including Chemunex SA, Nouveau Marche, Incyte, Praecis and most recently Hybrigenics, a privately held company he helped to establish in 1998 and where he served as chairman and chief executive officer from 1999 to late 2004. He is one of the few members from the industrial sector of the investment committee of the French government's Fund of Funds, which supports French venture capital companies. Strosberg received his License in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Sciences (Chemistry) from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. From 1986 to 1990, he was chief of the unit of molecular biology of receptors at the Pasteur Institute, followed by eight years as director of the molecular immunopharmacology unit and vice president of the Cochin Institute of Molecular Genetics. Professor Strosberg has received numerous awards and honors from US and European scientific organizations; he holds nearly 20 issued patents, many of which have been licensed to pharmaceutical companies; he has published more than 370 scientific articles in the major scientific journals in his field.

Beth Kennedy is Pfizer Research Informatics Site Head for the San Diego site. She is responsible for enabling technology and information solutions to support the research at the site. Beth has over 25 years experience applying technology and information management techniques in life science. She joined Pfizer in June 2006 after 6 years with Entelos, a life science company focused on predictive biosimulation techniques. At Entelos, she was Vice President of Modeling. Prior to joining Entelos, Beth held various Senior Management positions at Incyte Pharmaceuticals. She was hired by Incyte to develop and grow its product and software development organizations. This included managing the software development, dataflow, data production, integration and deployment of Incyte database and tool products to Incyte's partners. Beth was also responsible for the development and implementation of Incyte's Internet strategy. Prior to her work at Incyte, Beth held IT management positions at Syntex Corporation (Roche Bioscience). She managed a variety of internal applications and software groups in the research development and discovery organizations. At Syntex/Roche, Beth's organization worked on several software collaborations (Oracle, Index) that resulted in commercial software products. Beth received her B.A. from Vassar College.

Tom Tang graduated from Shangdong University with BS and MS in Mathematics. He also holds Ph.D. in Mathematics, and BS (cum laude) in Biology from University of Utah. From 1993-1997, he taught at Cornell University. Since 1996, Dr. Tang has worked at Incyte (3 years) and Nuvelo (5 years), holding various positions including scientist, programmer, group leader, Director of Software Development, and Sr. Director of Bioinformatics. Before founding Infovell, Dr. Tang was a Sr. Director of Information Technology at Beckman Coulter. Dr. Tang is the inventor of 75 issued US-patents, and has over 20 scientific publications in leading scientific journals.
