Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance

Mr. Nelson is Director of Public Affairs for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. He has more than 20 years of public relations experience with the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, The American Legion, the Hudson Institute, and the U.S. Army. He is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and holds the Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives. He teaches graduate and undergraduate public relations courses at IUPUI and Ball State University. He served with the 1st Armored Division in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He earned a BA in English from The Citadel and an MA in Public Relations from Ball State University. He is the author of "Big Foot Stalks The Citadel," which appeared in The Citadel Cadet Stories 1964-1994.

Andy Bennett joined Van Zandt, Emrich & Cary in July, 2008 after 15 years as an agent for Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. Since 1993, Andy has been honored six times with the distinctive National Quality Award by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Andy is a 1992 graduate of Indiana University Southeast with a degree in Business Management and is currently working towards the Certified Insurance Counselor designation. He serves on the Board of Directors for South Central NAIFA, is active in the Kentuckiana business community and is a member of Southeast Christian Church. Andy enjoys playing golf, is a fan of the Boston Red Sox and University of Louisville athletics but mostly loves to spend time with his family. He and his wife, Emily, have one son, George.
