Alison has a BA in English Literature and French (2003) from Oxford University, UK. During her degree, Alison spent a year studying in Paris, taught English in China and travelled across South East Asia and is currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Lindsey graduated from Manchester University, UK with a BSc in Geology in 1993, and has a PhD in Palaeontology and Biostratigraphy from Leicester University. She joined Industrial Minerals (IM) in 1999 as Assistant Editor Mineral PriceWatch, becoming Editor of the newsletter in 2002. During this time, she was a contributing author to several IM book publications including Chromium, Industrial Clays, and Industrial Minerals Prices and Data. After a short stint as IM's Special Publications Editor, Lindsey became the magazine's Features Editor in 2003.

Mike has a BSc in Geology and Geography (1983), and an MSc in Mining Geology (1986) from the Camborne School of Mines, UK. In 1984, he took the post of Editorial Assistant at the Institute of Metals, London (now IOM3). Mike joined Industrial Minerals (IM) as Assistant Editor in 1987. He worked as Associate American Editor in New York from 1988-90. Returning to the UK, and after a period of travel in Nepal and Thailand, he joined Leeds Mineral Services Group, UK as Senior Analyst in 1991. Mike rejoined IM later in 1991, launched North American Minerals News in 1995 and became Editor in the same year. Mike is on the Management Committee of Metals, Minerals, & Mining Division of Metal Bulletin PLC. During his career in industrial minerals, Mike has visited a wide range of mineral and end user operations worldwide, and has regularly organised, chaired, and has been invited to write papers and present at many industry relevant conferences. He is Associate Editor and a contributing author to the 7th edition of Industrial Minerals & Rocks, to be published by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) in 2006. He is a member of the SME and the Association of Mining Analysts.
