Robert Thomas has amassed more than 25 years of technical, sales, marketing, and management experience in the technology sector, which he brings to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Infoblox. Most recently, he was President and CEO of NetScreen Technologies, where he grew corporate headcount from 31 to 950 employees and led its successful IPO and eventual acquisition by Juniper Networks. Before NetScreen, Thomas held positions at Sun Microsystems, Fujitsu, and ICL. During his nine years at Sun, he was General Manager of Intercontinental Operations and Director of International Marketing Development, overseeing international business opportunities. Robert holds a B.Sc. in mathematics from Adelaide University in Australia.

Thomas Banahan joined the private equity division and Lehman Brothers in 1999. Previously, he spent twenty years working as an operational manager in the technology industry. Most recently, he was the vice president of business development for Marimba, Inc. (MRBA). Thomas joined Marimba as the 14th employee and was involved in all areas of the company's growth through its successful public offering in April 1999. Prior to Marimba, he was the vice president of worldwide sales for Spyglass, Inc. (SPYG). He joined Spyglass as the 23rd employee and was instrumental in positioning Spyglass as the first Internet company to access the public equity markets in June 1995. During the six years prior to Spyglass, Thomas worked for Comdisco, Inc. (CDO) as a vice president of sales. He started his career in the sales organization at IBM (IBM) where he spent seven years. He currently is a director of Celion Networks, Inc., Composite Software, Inc., Infoblox, Network Telephone Company, Inc., Primarion, Inc. and SevenSpace. Michael Goguen is a Sequoia Capital US partner and focuses on investments in the components and systems sectors. He is a Director of ConSentry, Ikanos, Infoblox, LogLogic, MEMX, Navini, Ometric, PayDay One, Sipera and WideRay. Mike was responsible for Sequoia Capital's investments in Ardent, MaxComm, Monterey Networks, Netiverse, and Pipelinks, which were all acquired by Cisco. He was also responsible for investments in Spatial Wireless (ALA), Avanex (AVNX), NetScreen (JNPR), Versatile (acquired by Vitesse), Redback Networks (RBAK), Springbank (acquired by CacheFlow), Yago Systems (acquired by Cabletron), and VitalSigns Software (acquired by International Network Services, Lucent). Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1996, Michael spent 10 years in various engineering, research, and product management roles at DEC, SynOptics and Centillion, and was a director of Engineering at Bay Networks (Nortel). Jim is a founding Partner of Focus Ventures. While at Focus, he has led successful investments in Cosine Communications, Starent Networks, Telera (Alcatel) and Netscaler (Citrix). He is currently responsible for Focus? investments in Infoblox, Miradia, PA Semi, Pure Digital and Teknovus. In addition to his investment work, Jim spearheads Focus? efforts in Asia, to which he brings to bear his 30 years experience in the region. Jim has initiated customer and partner relationships for numerous Focus portfolio companies including inCode Telecom, NetScaler, PixelWorks, PureDigital and Silicon Optix. Jim is frequently tapped to speak about his experiences at events hosted by organizations such as Asian Venture Capital Journal and International Business Forum. Jim was a cofounder in 1986 and a Managing Director of the successful merchant banking boutique, Amsterdam Pacific Corportation, which was purchased by a large European bank in 1994. Prior to forming Amsterdam Pacific Corporation, he was Vice President in the Telecommunications Section of the Bank of America's Investment Banking Group where he led media and high technology assignments in the U.S., Europe, and the Far East. Outside of his work at Focus, Jim has successful investments in companies such as ONI, Alteon, Prism Radio Partners, Deeptech, Hello Direct, US Filter and USA Waste. Jim has lectured on corporate and project financing at Stanford and has written numerous finance related articles including one published in the May-June 1982 issue of the Harvard Business Review, which was subsequently selected as one of the year's best and published in a hardcover collection. Jim has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and MBA (as an Arjay Miller Scholar) and MA degrees from Stanford University. Prior to attending business school, he worked for four years as a telecommunications engineer in the U.S. Air Force, specializing in analog/digital voice systems and digital networking.
