Jeff Groh joined Vertafore in December 2008 as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Jeff most recently served as CFO for Harland Financial Solutions (HFS), a leading provider of application software and services to the banking, credit union and financial services market. Prior to HFS, Jeff held the role of CFO at BISYS Investment Services, a leading outsource provider of mutual fund, retirement, hedge fund and private equity administration. During his time at BISYS Jeff was instrumental in the successful acquisition and integration of multiple companies. Jeff's early career included long tenures in senior financial roles within blue chip powerhouses, including Price Waterhouse and GE Capital.

John Morrow joined Vertafore, Inc. in June 2006 as senior vice president and general counsel. Morrow was most recently a partner with Heller Ehrman LLP, a major international law firm, where he represented public and private technology companies in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, licensing and strategic partnership transactions, corporate governance and general business matters. Morrow joined the firm as a result of its merger with Venture Law Group, a leading Silicon Valley-based law firm focused on representing technology companies. Prior to joining Venture Law Group, Morrow was an associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP. He has a bachelor's degree in political science from DePauw University and a juris doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

Karen Marafioti joined AMS Services in January 2003, as vice president of Human Resources. Marafioti's background includes over 19 years of human resources experience. In 1986, she joined IBM Global Services and participated in the growth of this strategic business from a $50M independent unit with less than 1,000 employees to a $40B enterprise with 150,000 employees when she left in 1999. Marafioti held several key HR roles for IBM Global Services in the U.S. and Europe, with responsibilities spanning organization development, recruitment and education initiatives. After leaving IBM and before joining AMS Services, Marafioti was the senior HR executive for two smaller, more entrepreneurial technology companies in the San Francisco area.

Alisa has been with AMS Services as a training consultant since 2004, working both in the field with users and in the classroom. Alisa has worked in the insurance industry for more than 13 years in commercial lines as a systems specialist/trainer and as an operations manager. She is a licensed property & casualty agent and a certified insurance counselor. Alisa is a speaker at industry events including AMS Users' group regional and national conferences and chapter meetings. She holds a bachelor's degree in counseling and enjoys women's ministries, hiking, camping and gardening.

Bernie has been a training consultant with AMS Services since 1997. His previous insurance experience includes 14 years as a commercial lines account executive specializing in casualty and errors and omissions, professional liability insurance. He also served as an errors and omissions officer and system administrator for an agency. Bernie has presented for many years at regional and national users group conferences and local chapter meetings, preparing and delivering presentations on a number of topics relating to generations of AMS Services systems. He has trained clients on AMS Sagitta and AMS AfW. His expertise is in AMS Sagitta, insurance-related accounting and reporting. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in economics.

Donna has been a training consultant with AMS Services since 2005. Her previous insurance experience includes working as a CSR in personal and commercial lines, bookkeeper, system administrator operations manager, human resources, marketing, personal lines manager, commercial lines supervisor and vice president of operations. She is currently licensed in property & casualty and life & health and is a Certified Insurance Counselor. Donna is a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences. She trains clients on AMS 360 and AMS AfW with expertise in accounting, customer service and reporting. She enjoys reading, sewing, knitting and traveling.

Ed has been a training consultant with AMS Services for more than 31 years, working both in the field with users and in the classroom. He has trained clients on and is an expert in AMS Sagitta and AMS AfW, and AMS 360. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and enjoys gardening and golf.

Ellen has been a training consultant with AMS Services for more than 29 years, working both in the field with users and in the classroom. She prepared and presented many classes at the AMSUG Annual National Conference and the Midwest Users' Group, including Workflows, Accounting Personalization, Reporting, and Tips & Tricks. She has trained clients on AMS Sagitta, AMS AfW, AMS 360, AMS Prime, PS4 Plus, Pioneer, AMS Producer Plus, Premier, and Pathfinder. She is an expert in AMS Sagitta and AMS Producer Plus. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Ellen enjoys gardening, reading, sewing, spectator sports, and travel.

Janice has been a training consultant with AMS Services since 2005. She worked in an insurance agency for 10 years in many capacities including personal and commercial lines, accounting, IT support/trainer and management. Janice's expertise is in AMS 360, AMS AfW, workflows, procedures, customer services and insurance accounting. Janice holds an associate's degree in accounting and enjoys boating, waterskiing, golfing and reading.

Larry has been a training consultant with AMS Services since 2005. His previous insurance experience includes starting and owning an insurance agency and purchasing his first agency management computer from AMS Services in the early 80's. Larry was one of three who started the Vermont AMS Users' Group. He then went to the New England AMS Users' Group and held various positions there for more than 25 years. He has trained clients on AMS 360, AMS AfW and AMS Prime. His expertise is in agency workflows, as well as computer skills for CSRs and producers. He enjoys mountain biking, cross-country and downhill skiing, scuba diving, civic organizations and helping people with computers, telephone systems and stereo systems.

Nancy has been a training consultant with AMS Services for more than 20 years. Her insurance agency experience includes administration and as a system coordinator for a large excess and surplus lines broker as well as an independent insurance agency. Nancy holds degree in biology as a pre-med major and in business administration/computer information systems. She enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and her two West Highland Terriers.

Paul has been a training consultant with AMS Services for more than 26 years, working both in the field and in the classroom. He managed a Chicago classroom facility from its opening in 1995 to its closing in 2001. He is a frequent presenter at user group conferenece and regional meetings. Paul's expertise is in AMS 360 but trained clients in AMS AfW, AMS Producer Plus and AMS Prime. Paul holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. He is an avid runner and sailor earning the U.S. Sail Keelboat Instructor designation in June 2002.

Rafael has been in the insurance industry for three years as a financial executive and an account executive. His expertise is in personal lines. He is currently licensed in life and health, property and casualty and securities series 7. At AMS Services, Rafael provides training exclusively to our AMS 360 clients. His formal education includes a bachelors of Science in finance. He enjoys fishing, traveling and watching his kids play sports.

Robert spent the first two years of his career as a Farmers insurance agent. He maintains his agent's license in Washington state. At AMS Services, Robert provides training exclusively to our AMS 360 clients. He holds a bachelors degree in foreign language from Central Washington University. He enjoys playing guitar, reading and exploring new places.

Rochelle has been working in the insurance industry since 1988 in Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. She is currently licensed as a Property & Casualty Agent. She is a member of the NAIC and the IPGM (Insurance Professionals of Greater Minneapolis). She has been the President of her local AMS Users' Group, The Big Chill, since 2004. Rochelle has trained clients on AMS 360 and AMS AfW, with expertise in AMS AfW. Her formal education includes a Legal Secretary degree. She enjoys canoeing, kayaking, welding, and interior decorating.

Sandy has been a training consultant for more than 23 years, working in both the field and in the classroom. Sandy has been with AMS Services for more than 13 years. Prior to that, she worked at Aetna for 14 years in various roles concentrating on personal lines and agency automation. Sandy is a presenter at the AMS Sagitta Local User Group and assists in the how-to rooms at the AMS Users' Group national conference. Sandy holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and education and a master's degree in education. Sandy enjoys theater, musicals, landscaping, gardening, her pets and baking.

Wes has been an agency operations and training consultant since 2005. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president in charge of insurance operations, a commercial lines manager and a marketing manager. He is currently licensed in property & casualty. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor, a CPCU and has Associate in Risk Management and Accredited Advisor in Insurance designations. Wes has been presenting and training for many years. He is a trainer for the Certified Insurance Service Representation, Commercial Property and Commercial Casualty sections. He is a Department of Insurance certified property & casualty instructor and has been teaching for the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina since 1985. He currently trains clients on AMS 360.
