Gregory K. Hinckley serves as Mentor's president. Before Hinckley joined Mentor in January of 1997, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of VLSI Technology, Inc. in San Jose, California. In the past he has held senior officer positions with Bio-Rad Laboratories and Raychem Corporation. Hinckley received his bachelor of arts in physics from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He was a Fulbright Scholar in applied mathematics at Nottingham University in Nottingham, England. He also holds a master of science in applied physics from University of California, San Diego and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Patrick J. Byrne joined the company as President and Chief Executive Officer and was also elected to the company's Board of Directors in July, 2007. Pat is a 24-year veteran of Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies where he held increasingly responsible positions in Research, Engineering, Marketing and General Management. He was most recently Senior VP of Agilent Technologies, Inc. and President of Agilent's Electronic Measurement Group, and prior to that he was VP and General Manager of Agilent’s Wireless Business Unit. Pat received his BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MS degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He currently serves on the Board of Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University.

Arvin Danielson has responsibilities for technology direction, standards development, new IP development, and bar code scanning engine and decode development. Arvin joined the company in 1975 and has held several engineering and technical management positions in R&D. In the early 1990s, he was responsible for establishing the Asia Pacific business as the managing director of Asia Pacific. He is inventor or co-inventor on 65 current patents and has been directly involved in the innovation of many technological firsts including linear imaging, portable printing, smart battery, pen-based portable computing, wireless PAN, and MEMS laser scanning. He was awarded the Ron Mahany Innovation of the Year award twice for his contribution to Intermec technology. Arvin graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in 1969 with a BS degree in electronic engineering. He has completed undergraduate studies in business at the University of Maryland.

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since joining Intermec in September 2006. Prior to joining Intermec, Mr. Michael was a business consultant and advisor serving private companies from 2004 to 2006, including short-term roles as interim chief operating officer of a retail chain store and chief financial officer of a logistics company and a startup airline. Prior thereto, Mr. Michael was employed by Airborne, Inc. from 1981 to 2004, including as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2000-2004 .

Dennis Faerber joined Intermec in February 2008 to provide leadership and oversight of the company's global manufacturing and outsourcing as well as channel and supply chain management. He brings broad operational experience to Intermec, particularly in the areas of supply chain transformation, process development, technical operations, manufacturing systems, quality operations, materials management, and engineering. Most recently, Dennis held the position of corporate VP of Global Supply Chains for Applied Materials. Before Applied Materials, he served as KLA-Tencor’s group VP and Chief Quality Officer. Prior to that, Dennis was Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Energy and VP and General Manager of U.S. operations for Agilent's EPSG business. Prior to Agilent, he held various management positions throughout a 24-year career with Hewlett-Packard. Dennis received a BS degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Missouri at Rolla.

Janis Harwell joined Intermec in 2004. Previously, she was VP, General Counsel and Secretary of Renessen LLC, a joint venture of Monsanto Company and Cargill, Inc.; Associate General Counsel of Monsanto Company; Deputy General Counsel of Pacific Telesis Group, the holding company of Pacific Bell; Partner in the Palo Alto law firm of Holtzmann, Wise & Shepard; and Partner in the San Francisco law firm of Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges. Janis received her BA degree from Yale University, her MBA degree from the University of Chicago Business School, and her JD degree from the University of Chicago Law School. She is admitted to practice law in California, Illinois and Washington, and is admitted to practice before a number of federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mike Wills leads the company's Global Sales and Service organizations. He is also President of Intermec Intellectual Property Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Intermec Inc. In that capacity, he leads the strategic direction of the monetization and licensing activities surrounding the company's extensive intellectual property portfolio of more than 700 patents. Mike joined Intermec in December 2000 from Paxar Corp., where he served as VP and General Manager of the Bar Code Solutions division. There he was responsible for global operations, marketing, sales and service for the bar code printer, supplies and service business. Prior to joining Paxar/Monarch in 1996, he served in several executive leadership capacities at Motorola Inc. Mike holds a BS degree in business administration from Taylor University and an MBA degree from Central Michigan University. He also serves on several boards of directors, including the Arizona State University's Carey School of Services Leadership and the Automatic Identification and Mobility Technologies Association (AIM Global).

Earl Thompson has responsibility for the Mobile Solutions Business Unit, comprising of Mobile Computers, Data Capture, Printers and Media product lines. Earl manages the day-to-day operations and drives the strategic direction of these important businesses. Earl is an accomplished executive with 25 years of domestic and international business experience in operations, P&L oversight, marketing, product development, business development, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Intermec in 2007, he was VP and General Manager of the Wireless Division at Agilent Technologies, Inc. where he had also served as the General Manager of Agilent's Wireless Business Unit Operation in Beijing, China and as the Wireless Inbound & Strategy Manager for the Wireless Business Unit. Earl also held a variety of management positions (both U.S. and foreign-based) for Hewlett-Packard Company. Earl received his BS degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University and his MBA degree from Gonzaga University.

Phil Danner becomes vice president of engineering, succeeding Mike Abel, who has taken a position as vice president, program management with the company. Danner joins Intermec after a 15-year career with General Electric, where he served in numerous positions during his tenure there, including engineering and quality leader, staff master black belt, and vice president, technology and chief technology officer. His most recent position was as vice president of engineering, Global Signaling for GE’s Transportation business.
