International Coffee & Tea LLC

Sunny Sassoon assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer at International Coffee & Tea, LLC on December 19, 1998 when the company was purchased. He facilitated in the development and operations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Southeast Asia and participated in the purchase of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf internationally. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sassoon participates in the development of the Company's strategic plan and serves as a Member of the Management Board. He is actively involved in the operations and growth of the company.

Mel has been instrumental in the strategic positioning and dynamic expansion of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf ("the Company"), helping lead the Company's growth from 60 to over 600 stores worldwide since 1999. As president, he is now responsible for setting strategy and directing the day-to-day operations of the Company's global brand and business. Prior to joining the Company, Mel was the director of development for the Sunvic Group, overseeing the development and operations for Tower Records and Sunvic's The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf franchise in Malaysia. Mel completed his Law studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He was admitted to the Bar of both the Middle Temple in England and the High Court of the Republic of Singapore where he practiced as an advocate and solicitor for a number of years.

Angy brings over 15 years of corporate leadership and a strong executive finance background to our team. She has a solid track record of leading corporate turnaround initiatives, process improvements and financial governance of new concept development and implementation. Previously Angy held the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer for Clipper Corporation. She also served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Robeks Corporation and has held various finance leadership roles at Yum Brands Inc., Ecolab Inc. and Target Corporation. Angy has an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago and graduated with highest distinction and honors from the University of Kansas with a BS in business administration.

Mr. Elias has played an instrumental role in the growth, expansion and strategic positioning of International Coffee & Tea, LLC, over the last five (5) years. Mr. Elias has studied and worked in South East Asia, England, and America giving him a global perspective and understanding of people, world markets, and business opportunities. Responsible for the retail sales, finance, manufacturing, distribution, performance development, and marketing functions. Mr. Elias is instrumental in the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan and communication of such.

Terry is responsible for the Company's legal, human resources, real estate and global supply chain initiatives and maintains an active role in the Company's overall leadership. Terry joined the Company in February 2004 as its charter general counsel. Prior to joining the Company, Terry was a partner at Johnson & Mansky where he represented a variety of retail clients, including Krause's Furniture Inc., Wells Fargo Bank and International Coffee & Tea, LLC. Terry completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California and received his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, where he was a member of the Loyola Law Review in the 1978-1979 academic year.

Mr. Kaufman brings 12 years of experience in international operations, strategic planning and corporate business development to the company. His responsibilities include developing new revenue streams for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf . Before joining The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf , Mr. Kaufman oversaw business development and International Operations as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Managing Director of International at Tower Records. Kaufman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Chinese Language from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Paul is responsible for planning, procurement, manufacturing and product distribution worldwide to the Company stores in 20 countries. He is an integral part of the executive team, bringing contemporary solutions to supply chain and business issues within the Company. Paul has more than 25 years experience directing all facets of supply chain operations for major multi-unit businesses including Frito-Lay; Allied Domeq units (Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin Donuts and Togos brands); and Pick Up Stix Restaurants. Paul holds a BS in business administration with an emphasis in production/logistics operations from California State University, Fresno.

Mr. Goldman is responsible for the real estate, lease administration, design, construction, maintenance and remodel departments. He identifies sites, negotiates lease contracts, oversees the construction and remodel of company stores, and orchestrates the Company's domestic roll-out plans.

Vice President of Operations, Steve Heeley brings 25 years of experience in quick service restaurants to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf . He previously held the top operations position at the quick-casual Asian restaurant chain Pick Up Stix, and prior to that oversaw a successful rapid national expansion as senior vice president and chief operating officer at industry leader Baja Fresh Mexican Grill. Mr. Heeley is responsible for the operations of all The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf domestic stores. He is also a part of the executive committee that plans and implements the chain's key initiatives and strategies.

As Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances, Ms. Clark is responsible for all global brand marketing and strategic brand extensions, including marketing promotions, product development, public relations, specialty sales, and e-commerce business. Tami has been an integral member of the Executive Team and has been involved in many various marketing programs as well as being active in various non-profit organizations including being a Board Member for The Santa Monica Baykeeper and Malibu Costal Land Conservancy. Previously, she was an active board member of The Asia Society, Chinatown Service Center in Los Angeles and the Terros Behavioral Health Centers in Phoenix. Tami has received numerous awards including the United Nations International Broadcast Day for Children by UNICEF and the Public Relations Society of America. Tami has also traveled extensively around the world professionally and personally.

Joe Ponciano is the Regional Director of Operations for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. He is the parent of three children and was formerly a foster parent. Joe has volunteered his time at Peace4Kids and at The Help Group in an effort to mentor children and teens. He offers high quality management skills to the Board, including staff development, hiring, financial analysis, relationship building, leadership, and customer service.

David joined the Company in 1997. As buyer, master blender and senior manager of tea, Dave is responsible for sourcing, development and internal education on tea. He travels the world to source the finest ingredients from countries such as Sri Lanka, India, China and Taiwan. He is a driving force in giving back to the origin countries in which we do business. Prior to joining the Company, David spent 13 years at Halliburton where he was involved with industry sales, service and managerial distribution. He holds a Bachelors degree in business from California State University, Northridge.
