Robert M. Amen was elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IFF on July 1, 2006. Mr. Amen most recently served as President of International Paper Company, retiring from that post in March 2006.
During his 26 years with International Paper, Mr. Amen played a major role in developing the company’s international strategy and, more recently, in transforming the company’s operations and business focus to accelerate performance. He was named president of International Paper in 2003, having previously served as executive vice president of the company from 2000-2003 and president of International Paper Europe from 1996-2000.
He is currently a member of the Wyeth Board of Directors, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Deming Center at Columbia University. In addition, he is a member of the Board of the Inner City Scholarship Fund and the Personal Care Products Council. He also serves on the Leadership Committee of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund. Mr. Amen is a Knight of Malta.
Mr. Amen has a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston College and a master's degree in business administration from Columbia University.

Hernan Vaisman was appointed Group President, Flavors, in October 2006, effective January 1, 2007. In this role, he is responsible for strategy, commercial and creative execution, people development and profit and loss in the Flavors Business Unit globally.
Mr. Vaisman has been with IFF for over six years and prior to this appointment, most recently served as Vice President and Regional Manager—Latin America where he was responsible for the general management of the business development and operations activities for that region. He came to IFF as Regional Finance Director—Latin America.
He has worked in the flavor and fragrance industry for almost 20 years in progressively responsible capacities in the finance, operations, and sales functions in Latin America and Asia Pacific.
Mr. Vaisman received his CPA certification from Buenos Aires University and a master's degree in industrial marketing from the Getulio Vargas University (Sao Paulo, Brazil).
Nicolas Mirzayantz was appointed Group President, Fragrances, in October 2006, effective January 1, 2007. In this role, he is responsible for strategy, commercial and creative execution, people development and profit and loss in the Fragrances Business Unit globally.
Previously, Mr. Mirzayantz held the dual roles of Senior Vice President for IFF’s Fine Fragrances & Beauty Care unit, and North America Regional Manager.
As head of Fine Fragrances & Beauty Care, Mr. Mirzayantz was responsible for the Company’s global fine fragrances group, which includes beauty care. As Regional Manager, he was also responsible for the general management of the business development and operations activities in North America, including flavors and functional fragrances. He personally oversaw IFF’s Creative Centers in New York and Paris, and is still President of the Company’s prestigious unit of natural products, Laboratoire Monique Rémy in Grasse, France.
Previously, Mr. Mirzayantz held the position of Vice President Global Business Development—Fine Fragrances and Toiletries for four years. He joined IFF in 1988.
Prior to IFF, Mr. Mirzayantz served as Deputy Trade Commissioner at the French Embassy in Nicaragua in 1986 and 1987.
Mr. Mirzayantz holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of Paris II ASSAS. He also completed the International Executive Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau in 1998.
Mr. Mirzayantz serves as a board member for both The Fragrance Foundation and Fragrance Material Association (FMA) of the United States.

Beth E. Ford was appointed Executive Vice President, Head of Supply Chain in October 2008. In this capacity, Ms. Ford has responsibility for Operations, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Global Strategic Sourcing, and Manufacturing.
Most recently, Ms. Ford was Chief Operating Officer for Hachette Book Group in New York City. Before joining Hachette, Ms. Ford worked at Scholastic, Inc. where she was Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Information Technology from 2000-2007. Previously, she held senior supply chain, line operating and IT roles with Pepsi, McDonald’s and Mobil Oil Corporation in a career spanning more than 20 years.
A native of Sioux City, Iowa, Ms. Ford graduated from Iowa State University with a BBA in Management and later received an MBA from Columbia University Business School with an emphasis in Finance. She is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee for the School of Business at Iowa State University, as well as the National Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes.

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Mr. Heaslip is responsible for fully developing and implementing IFF's new Human Resources strategy, including training and development, compensation, stock ownership, and reward and recognition programs.
Prior to joining IFF in July 2001, Mr. Heaslip spent more than 21 years managing human resources initiatives for a variety of multinational corporations, serving most recently as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Elizabeth Arden. His experience includes all aspects of Human Resources such as labor and employee relations, training, organizational development, compensation, benefits, and change management.
Mr. Heaslip holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from McMaster University.
Dennis Meany was elected Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, effective January 1, 2004.
Mr. Meany served for six years as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Bush Boake Allen Inc., which was acquired by IFF in November 2000. He previously spent 15 years with Union Camp Corporation in positions of increasing responsibility.
Mr. Meany holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College and graduated with honors from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Douglas D. Tough is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ansell Limited, a $1.1 billion global leader in healthcare barrier protection, in 2004 and is a member of its Board of Directors.Prior to joining Ansell, Mr. Tough had a 17-year career with Cadbury Schweppes Plc. where he held a variety of positions including President of Cadbury Beverages International from 1992-1996 and President, Africa, India, Middle East and Europe Division from 1996-2000. From 2000-2003, he was President and CEO of Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. Mr. Tough began his career with The Procter & Gamble Company in 1974.
Mr. Tough has been a member of IFF’s Board of Directors since October 2008 and serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee, which recruits, reviews qualifications of, and recommends nominees to fill Board vacancies and newly created directorships, and monitors and makes recommendations to the Board on corporate governance issues. He holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Buck joined the board of deCODE genetics in December 2005. Dr. Buck, who received a Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine in 2004 for her discoveries on the workings of the olfactory system, is Associate Director of the Basic Sciences Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle and is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator. She also is an affiliate professor of physiology and biophysics at the University of Washington. Dr. Buck is the author of numerous scientific publications and the recipient of many honors and awards for her research. Prior to her current positions, Dr. Buck was a professor of neurobiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Buck holds BS degrees in psychology and microbiology from the University of Washington, and she received her PhD in immunology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

Marcello Bottoli was President and CEO of Samsonite Inc., the world’s number one luggage maker from 2004 to January 2009. He played a key role in turning Samsonite around via a strategy of attracting established designers to create successful new products. Mr. Bottoli also sits on the Boards of Directors of True Religion Apparel, Inc., a design-based jeans and jean-related sportswear brand, and Ratti SPA, an Italian textile company. He holds a doctorate in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
Mr. Bottoli was elected to IFF’s Board in 2007 and serves on the Compensation Committee. He previously served Louis Vuitton Malletier as President and CEO. His other experience includes serving as Executive Vice President of Reckitt Benckiser and as a senior consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Bottoli was part of the senior team which took Benckiser public on the Amsterdam and New York Stock Exchanges in 1997.
