Prior to joining Intevac in February of 2002, Mr. Fairbairn had been employed by Applied Materials since 1985. His most recent position was that of Vice President and General Manager of the Conductor Etch Organization where he was responsible for leading his group to market share leadership and business levels of $1 billion. His prior assignment at Applied was General Manager of the Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition Business Unit. Mr. Fairbairn has over 25 years experience in high technology having worked in such diverse fields as fusion technology, robotics, super conducting magnet systems, uranium enrichment, and optics technology in addition to his experience in semiconductor equipment technology in Etch, CVD and Ion Implant. Mr. Fairbairn holds an M.A. in Engineering Sciences from Cambridge University, Churchill College.
Mr. Andreson joined Intevac in June 2007 and became Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary in August 2007. Prior to joining Intevac, Mr. Andreson spent 12 years with Applied Materials in various controllership positions within the company, most recently as the managing director and controller of the $2B Applied Global Services product group. From 1989 through 1995, Mr. Andreson held various financial management roles at Measurex Corporation. Mr. Andreson holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Finance from San Jose State University.

Mr. Aebi has served as Chief Technology Officer of our Intevac Photonics business since August 2006. Previously, Mr. Aebi served as President of the Photonics Division from July 2000 to July 2006 and as General Manager of the Photonics Division since May 1995. Mr. Aebi was elected as a Vice President of the Company in September 1995. From 1988 through 1994, Mr. Aebi was the Engineering Manager of the night vision business Intevac acquired from Varian Associates in 1991, where he was responsible for new product development in the areas of advanced photocathodes and image intensifiers. Mr. Aebi holds a BS in physics and an MS in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Dr. Russak brings more than 30 years of experience to his new position with Intevac. In October 2000, following Komag's merger with HMT Technology, he became President and Chief Technical Officer of Komag. In this position, Mike was responsible for Komag's business and technical direction. In 2007, Komag was acquired by Western Digital Corporation. At HMT, Dr. Russak served as Vice President of Research and Development from August 1993. Previously, Mike held management positions in the Research Division of IBM Corporation. Prior to IBM, Dr. Russak worked for Grumman Aerospace Corporation as a contributing scientist, and was involved in several material science-related projects, including the re-entry heat shield for NASA's space shuttle.
Dr. Russak has published over 90 technical papers and holds 22 patents. He also served as Executive Director of IDEMA U.S. in 2007, and was a member of the U.S. Board of Directors from 1999 to 2006. Dr. Russak holds a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering and a Ph. D in Materials Science from Rutgers University.

Mr. Carollo joined Intevac in November 2007 as Vice President and General Manager of Intevac s Creative Display Systems subsidiary. Prior to founding Creative Display Systems Mr. Carollo worked for Rockwell-Collins Optronics Electro-Optics from 1993 to 2006 where his most recent position was General Manager. Mr. Pond is a founder of Intevac and has served as Chairman of the Board since February 1991. He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Before joining Intevac, from 1988 to 1990, Mr. Pond served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Varian Associates, Inc. ("Varian"), a publicly held manufacturer of semiconductor, communication, defense and medical products where he was responsible for overall management of Varian's operations.
