Brian Ward, Senior Vice President of Client Services for IntraLinks, has over 14 years of experience managing customer service organizations. Prior to joining IntraLinks, he served as Director of Customer Care and Operations for ePromos.com. Previously, he was the Director of Customer Service for HIP (Health Insurance Plan) of New York, and held several positions at Oxford Health Plans. He is a member of the Help Desk Institute (HDI), the Service and Support Professionals Association (SSPA) and International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC). He was recently nominated to be a judge on the panel for the 2008 International Business Awards. Mr. Ward holds a Bachelor's in Public Relations from the University of Connecticut.

Diane Carlson has served as IntraLinks' vice president of marketing communications and branding since April 2005. From September 2002 to April 2005, Ms. Carlson led marketing as vice president at Avero, Inc., a business intelligence application service provider serving the hospitality industry. From 1998 to 2001, Ms. Carlson served as director and vice president of marketing at Imagine Media. Previously, she served as senior manager of worldwide advertising at Sun Microsystems in both the corporate marketing and JavaSoft divisions. From 1988 to 1996, Ms. Carlson held various advertising agency positions at JWT, Ammirati and Puris, HDM and Wells Rich Greene. She started her career in banking at Credit Lyonnais in New York and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester.

As Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Life Sciences, Jim applies his broad industry knowledge to drive Safeguard’s partnership opportunities in Life Sciences. His significant experience as a marketing / sales and business development executive for leading pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics and software companies spans more than 20 years and covers assignments throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Safeguard, Jim was Chief Executive Officer of TouchPoint Solutions, Inc., a provider of software that enables customers to develop and deploy applications, content and media on multi-user interactive devices. Prior to TouchPoint, Jim served as Group President of Dendrite International, a provider of sales, marketing, clinical and compliance solution services to global pharmaceutical and other life sciences companies. In his tenure as Group Director of Corporate Business Strategy and Planning at GlaxoSmithKline, he served on the Global Predictive Medicine Board of Directors, evaluating acquisition and alliance opportunities, reengineering projects and facilitating change management teams. His experience also includes executive international assignments setting up international businesses and identifying strategic growth opportunities for Merck KGaA and Baxter. As Chief Executive Officer at publicly traded Isuta Group, Jim redesigned the company’s value proposition and led a profitable expansion throughout Asia and enabled the company’s survival of the Asian economic crisis. These initiatives positioned the group to become a world leader in all major product groups. Jim and his team actively oversee Safeguard’s life sciences partner companies and continuously evaluate new growth opportunities in life sciences companies. Jim believes that by providing capital, as well as a range of strategic, operational and management resources, Safeguard is uniquely positioned to build value in growth-stage life sciences companies. Julie Kunstler has worked closely with rapidly growing companies, as an early employee at Paychex, a U.S.-based provider of payroll and benefits processing and as a director of Intralinks, a New York-based Application Service Provider (ASP) that supplies secure digital workspaces to help enterprises and individuals communicate and collaborate. She currently serves as a director of Fiberzone Networks,Teknovus and Teranetics. As Chief Operating Officer of HK Catalyst, Ms. Kunstler advised companies ranging from start-ups to global firms such as Siemens and ECI Telecom. In addition to her operating experience, Ms. Kunstler spent six years in banking as an analyst for Citibank and then as Finance Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank. Ms. Kunstler earned a Bachelors degree magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Ms. Kunstler has taught courses on entrepreneurship and venture capital in the MBA program at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Safeguard, Peter J. Boni draws on more than 25 years of experience as the CEO of technology companies in all stages of growth, and as an operating partner with a large global private equity firm. With both the deal savvy and operating expertise that a successful career affords, Peter is responsible for developing and executing Safeguard’s corporate strategy. Peter is recognized as a leader in both building businesses and restoring troubled companies to growth and profitability. In addition to acting as CEO for several publicly-traded and privately-held companies, he has served as a chairman, a Fortune 500 corporate executive, a NYSE Fortune 1000 president, a management consultant, board member, investor and advisor to institutional investors in both early- and later-stage hardware, software and technology-enabled services firms. After his CEO experience, Peter served as an Operating Partner at Advent International, a leading global private equity firm managing $10 billion. Under Peter’s stewardship, several noteworthy firms were funded, grown and positioned for liquidity at premiums. Others were recognized among the Inc. 500 as fastest growing private companies. Several were brought to IPO. Some acquired and integrated with the acquired businesses, and/or were themselves acquired by industry leaders such as Computer Associates and Cisco Systems. As a result, Peter was recognized by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in New England. A decorated combat veteran, Peter served as an Army infantry officer in Special Operations in Vietnam. Through this life-altering experience, he developed a personal philosophy about the importance of surrounding himself with highly competent, well-trained and motivated individuals.
