After leaving Oxford University, Robert entered the City where he initially covered the Diversified Industrials and the Overseas Traders sectors and was top ranked in both sectors. From its inception, Robert then concentrated on the Support Services sector, which largely evolved out of the Diversified Industrials sector, and his team at WestLB Panmure was ranked either no 1 or number 2 in the various research surveys. Robert joined Investec in January 2004. In addition to his analyst responsibilities, Robert heads up the Support Services Research team within Investec.

Vince started his career in 1972 in the investment department of London and Manchester Assurance Co. He moved to Quilter Goodison in 1980 where he ran the Small Companies team.
