Prof. Leith moved to the National University of Ireland, Maynooth in 2001 to take up the position as a Science Foundation Ireland Principal Investigator. Prof. Leith is Director of the Hamilton Institute at the University, an applied mathematics research institute working on a variety of problems that arise in the ICT and Bioscience industries. Prof. Leith is a member of the SFI ICT Advisory Panel and acts as a reviewer for the EPSRC, European Commission and SFI.

Prof. Werner Blau is Director of the Materials Ireland Polymer Research Centre in Trinity College, Dublin which encompasses researchers from the fields of physics, chemistry, engineering, biology and computer simulation. He is also Research Director of the new Sami Nasr Institute for Advanced Materials at the College.

A highly-experienced business person, with 30 years international general management and multi-functional experience, Bernard's career spans start-ups, rationalizations and turnarounds, LBOs and IPOs, and disposals in both large and small businesses. He has particular experience in the Medical Device/Health Care Sectors. Most recently, Bernard was Vice President of International Operations and Director of International Board at Boston Scientific Corporation. He is currently a non Executive Director of IDA Ireland Ltd, non Executive Director of Boston Scientific International, non Executive Director of and Consultant to Aerogen Inc., U.S.A (NASDAQ AEGN).
