"Career: Mr. Harvey began his career with Philip Morris. He joined Johnson Controls in 1977 as a professional technical recruiter and served in other corporate human resources management positions. He later held positions of increasing responsibility before being named group vice president of human resources — worldwide, for Automotive Experience, where he directed human resources activities for the automotive business throughout the world. As Director of Energy and Environmental Affairs for the Building Efficiency business of Johnson Controls, Paul is a member of the senior management team. He develops business opportunities while leveraging the energy efficiency and environmental record of Johnson Controls. Paul manages Johnson Controls High Performance Green Buildings business, which includes structures that are designed, built, renovated, operated, or reused in an economical and resource-efficient manner. Paul was one of the original members and currently is a board member of the U.S. Green Building Council, serving on the Finance Committee. He also has served on the Marketing Committee and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Steering Committee. Paul was honored with the USGBC's Leadership Award in 2005 for his work on LEED development. He also is active in the formation and activities of the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments, a coalition of suppliers of sustainable products and services. As a member of the Executive Council of the Energy Efficiency Forum, co-sponsored by Johnson Controls and the U.S. Energy Association, Paul helps bring together business and government leaders (recent years have included Sen. Gerald "Jerry" Bossolono is an associate of The ACCESS Group (TAG) and is a proven professional with over forty years of hands-on manufacturing management experience in the production and engineering disciplines. Gerald has held numerous positions within operational organizations from machine operator to shop floor management to the executive level. Gerald has worked in industries including: automotive, foundry, meat processing, appliance and injection molding equipment among others, in both consulting and full time positions. These experiences include working with multi-national and international conglomerate companies, such as, General Motors, Allis-Chalmers, Johnson Controls, Gateway Industries and others. Gerald has led many projects throughout his career ranging from complex manufacturing systems design and implementation to lean manufacturing conversions of plant with operations in many different industries. His accomplishments include the consolidation project for an automotive seat belt manufacturer, which consolidated three plants into two plants, and increased production volumes and improved on time and complete shipments. Gerald developed and implemented a preventative maintenance program for an automated brass foundry that brought its downtime from 30% to less than 1%. Gerald interacts well with people from all levels of the organization, which has been helpful in the success of the projects he has led. He is intimately familiar with JIT, Pull and Kanban systems, cellular and single piece flow manufacturing processes and utilizes Auto Cad to develop and implement plant layouts to accommodate these and other lean manufacturing principles. Gerald is an enthusiastic and highly motivated leader. Results are obtained by involving, teaching and working alongside the employees to ensure success during planning, implementation and after the engagement is completed. Prenova's Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Phil has served in an advisory capacity in public companies as well as private ventures. Richard Huskey joined the Special Projects Group in August 2006 and serves as a safety advisor. Richard studied civil engineering at the University of Maryland and engineering technology at Portland Community College. Richard learned refined his construction skills as a Builder First Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy Seebees. Following his retirement from the service, Richard served site safety positions with Kajima Construction Company of Pasadena, California at a light rail project in Portland, Oregon. He has also served as a site safety supervisor for Fluor Construction International, Inc. at a $1.2 Billion high technology project in Camas, Washington. As a contract safety coordinator for Johnson Controls, Inc., Richard monitored several general industry and construction projects for clients that included Pfizer, Inc. Additionally, Richard provided safety management and engineering at the Ted Williams Tunnel Project in Boston with M. DeMatteo/Flatiron/Interbeton, Inc., Slattery/Interbeton, J.F. Jeffrey A. Joerres is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Manpower Inc. Having joined Manpower in 1993, Jeff served as Vice President of Marketing, and later, as Senior Vice President of European Operations and Global Account Management. It was in 1999 that he was promoted to President and CEO, and in 2001 that he was named Chairman of the Board.
Jeff has led a transformation of Manpower's business strategy, adding new business lines that have expanded the company's ability to assist clients and candidates in navigating the changing world of work. Jeff is a true thought leader within his industry, and a pioneer in emerging markets. His role at Manpower has seen him advising domestic and foreign government officials about how to transform their labor markets to compete in the global economy.
Under Jeff's tenure, Manpower has experienced rapid growth, opening more than 1,000 local offices, and expanding the footprint of the organization to over 4,200 offices across 82 countries and territories. His achievements for the company have seen Manpower share value more than triple, and the company has climbed the ranks of the Fortune 500 American companies list, moving from 183 to 119 in 2009. It has been Manpower's steady financial performance and strict adherence to governance guidelines that contributed to it being named as one of the "Best Managed Companies in America" for the fifth time in 2007 by Forbes magazine. In 2009, Fortune magazine named Manpower as one of the most admired companies in the staffing industry for the seventh year in a row. Also in 2009, Joerres was named to Institutional Investor magazine's annual list of the best CEOs in America for the sixth time, ranking #1 in the Business & Professional Services category.
Jeff is known as a strong proponent of job training and workforce development initiatives. Outside of the company, he serves on the board of trustees for the Committee for Economic Development (CED) and is co-chair of the CEO Diversity Committee of the Greater Milwaukee Committee. He also served as co-chair of the 2005 NAACP National Convention held in Milwaukee.
Prior to joining Manpower, Jeff held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ARI Network Services, a publicly held, high-tech electronic data interchange company. He has also held several management positions within IBM.
Jeff has a bachelor's degree from Marquette University's College of Business Administration, from which he graduated in 1983. In addition to the Manpower Inc. board, Jeff is a member of the board of directors of Artisan Funds and Johnson Controls.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Kohler Co., Kohler, Wisconsin, since 2001 (manufacturer and marketer of plumbing products, power systems and furniture). Ms. Black served as a Group President for Kohler Co. from 1998 to 2001.
