Rick Navarre was named President and Chief Commercial Officer for Peabody Energy in January 2008. He has executive responsibility for Peabody's global sales and trading; business development; strategic planning, generation and Btu Conversion initiatives; resource development opportunities; international growth initiatives including China; business performance; and investor relations and corporate communications. With 25 years of financial and business experience, Rick served as Peabody's Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2008. He joined the company in 1993 and has held a series of financial and commercial positions with the company, including executive responsibility for departments as diverse as Sales, Marketing, Trading and Transportation; Legal; Information Technology; Materials Management and Post-Mining Reclamation. Rick is a member of the Hall of Fame of the College of Business at Southern Illinois University Carbondale; a member of the Board of Advisors of the College of Business and Administration and the School of Accountancy of Southern Illinois University Carbondale; a member of the International Business Advisory Board of the University of Missouri - St. Louis; a Director of the United Way of Greater St. Louis; a Director of the Missouri Historical Society; a member of Financial Executives International and the Civic Entrepreneurs Organization; and a former chairman of the Bituminous Coal Operators' Association.

Alex Schoch is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Peabody Energy. He joined Peabody in October 2006 with responsibility for all law and corporate secretary functions for Peabody Energy. Prior to joining Peabody, he most recently served as Vice President and General Counsel for Emerson Process Management. Alex has 28 years of extensive corporate legal experience. His prior positions include various legal positions with Goodrich Corporation serving as Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Secretary. He also was an International Attorney for Marathon Oil Company. Alex is a member of various state bar associations, the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals. He is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, Texas and Ohio.

Eric Ford is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined Peabody in January 2007 and is responsible for global mining operations, along with areas of safety, operations improvement, engineering, environmental and geological services. Prior to joining Peabody, he most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Anglo Coal Australia Pty Ltd. Eric has more than 35 years of extensive international management, operating and engineering experience in the industry. Eric has served as Deputy Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of the Coal Industry Advisory Board of the International Energy Agency. He also served as the Vice Chairman and Director of the Minerals Council of Australia.

Sharon Fiehler was named Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in January 2008. She has executive responsibility for human resources, information services, procurement, flight services and facilities management. Sharon has served in a series of roles in organizational and employee relations, compensation and salaried benefits since joining the company as Manager of Salary Administration in 1981. From April 2002 until January 2008, she served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. Sharon is a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis; on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Junior Achievement of St. Louis; the Board of Directors St. Louis Zoo Association; and Vice President of the Chancellor's Council, University of Missouri St. Louis. She is also a 2008 St. Louis YWCA Leader of Distinction Award recipient.

Mr. Price joined Westminster in 2003 as managing director of research, and has since transitioned in 2005 to a principal in investment banking with a focus on metals and mining, energy and related sectors. Mr. Price brings significant industry experience to his position, having served from 1979 through 1993 as a vice president and member of management of Peabody Holding Co., predecessor to Peabody Energy (NYSE: BTU), the largest coal mining company in the world, including 3 years working with Hanson, PLC which purchased Peabody in 1989 as part of their acquisition of Goldfields, Ltd. Prior to that, he worked for 9 years in finance, bank operations and information systems at bank and non-bank subsidiaries of Security Pacific Corp. and Citicorp where he was also involved in domestic consumer and commercial finance, and in international finance in South America, Africa and Asia-Pacific. From 1993 to 2003 he held management positions in two brokerage firms and was President and COO of a venture-funded medical information systems company. Mr. Price holds a BS in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis.

Scott Weirich, Manager of Land. Mr. Weirich began his career in the oil and gas business in 1977. He has extensive experience in oil and gas lease acquisitions; title curative; division orders; federal units; and producing property acquisitions and divestitures. Some of his former positions include work as a land professional for KCS Mountain Resources; Peabody Energy Company; Marathon Oil Company; Hanson & Strahn, Inc.; and Bright Star Energy Services, Inc. Mr. Weirich graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of South Dakota in 1993. He is a Certified Professional Landman and his professional organization memberships include the American Association of Professional Landmen, Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen and the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen.
