Melinda Dunn is the Chief Financial Officer at Sequoia Capital. Melinda's role is to oversee the firm's financial, legal, and administrative activities. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 1992, Melinda was the Director of Finance at ComputerLand Corporation. Previously, she was a Senior Accountant for Deloitte & Touche, specializing in high technology clients.

Mr. Chadha co-founded WestBridge in 2000 and, as the Senior Managing Director of WestBridge, oversees all investment activities and management of the firm. Mr. Chadha has eight years of venture capital investing experience in India and focuses on services and software companies. He serves as Chairman of the Board of AppLabs and is on the boards of Emagia, July Systems and MarketRx, in addition to Astra. He also serves as an observer on the board of Celetronix.

Jim Goetz, partner at Sequoia Capital, focuses on systems and software investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2004, Jim served as a General Partner at Accel Partners where he led the investments in Entrisphere (ERIC), Peribit (JNPR), RGB, and Rhapsody (BRCD) and was part of the team responsible for BroadJump (MOTV), Timetra (ALA) and Topspin (CSCO). Earlier, Jim was a Founder of VitalSigns (LU) where he went on to serve as VP/GM of the VitalSoft division of Lucent. Prior to VitalSigns, Jim was the Vice President of Network Management for Bay Networks. Prior to Bay and Synoptics, he held various product and marketing positions at AT&T, AT&T Bell Labs, and Digital Equipment. Jim has a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Joe Dobrenski is the Human Capital Partner at Sequoia Capital. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2002, Joe led the hardware and electronics recruiting practice for Russell Reynolds Associates. Earlier, Joe worked for Black & Decker and Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Services in roles involving strategy, operations and information technology. Joe has a BS in Operations Research from Cornell University.

Mark Dempster is the Marketing Partner at Sequoia Capital. Mark's role is to provide portfolio companies with an "entrepreneur start-up kit" in marketing, sales and services. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2000, Mark led the brand strategy practice for CKS Partners. Previously, Mark was a Brand Strategist for Landor Associates. Mark received a BS in Economics and Communications from UC Davis.

Michael Goguen is a Sequoia Capital US partner and focuses on investments in the components and systems sectors. He is a Director of ConSentry, Ikanos, Infoblox, LogLogic, MEMX, Navini, Ometric, PayDay One, Sipera and WideRay. Mike was responsible for Sequoia Capital's investments in Ardent, MaxComm, Monterey Networks, Netiverse, and Pipelinks, which were all acquired by Cisco. He was also responsible for investments in Spatial Wireless (ALA), Avanex (AVNX), NetScreen (JNPR), Versatile (acquired by Vitesse), Redback Networks (RBAK), Springbank (acquired by CacheFlow), Yago Systems (acquired by Cabletron), and VitalSigns Software (acquired by International Network Services, Lucent). Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1996, Michael spent 10 years in various engineering, research, and product management roles at DEC, SynOptics and Centillion, and was a director of Engineering at Bay Networks (Nortel). Michael was also a Technical Chairman of the ATM Forum. Michael has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Neil Nanpeng Shen Non-executive Director Neil Nanpeng Shen is one of the co-founders of our company and has been our company’s director since our inception. Mr. Shen is the Founding Managing Partner of Sequoia Capital China. Mr. Shen served as our Chief Financial Officer from 2000 to October 2005 and as President from August 2003 to October 2005. Prior to founding Ctrip, Mr. Shen had worked for more than eight years in the investment banking industry in New York and Hong Kong. He was a director at Deutsche Bank Hong Kong where he worked from 1996 to 1999. Prior to 1996, he had worked at Chemical Bank, Lehman Brothers and Citibank in various investment banking areas. Currently, Mr. Shen is the Co-Chairman of Home Inns and also an independent director and the chairman of the audit committee of Focus Media Holding Limited, a Nasdaq-listed media advertising company based in China. Mr. Shen received his Master’s degree from the School of Management at Yale University and his Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Benny Hanigal is one of Sequoia's three Israeli Partners and focuses on components and systems investments in Israel. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2001, he was a Partner in Star Seed, a German - Israeli Venture Fund where he led the investment activities in Israel and abroad. Before establishing Star Seed in 1998, Benny had founded Lannet in 1985 and served as its President and CEO until it merged with Madge Networks in 1995, where he continued to serve as a Senior VP for Product Development and Marketing. In 1993 Benny co-founded BreezeCOM (BRZE) and served as its chairman until 1999. Benny received his EE degree from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology - in 1971.
