In 1990 Leon Black founded Apollo Management, L.P. a global alternative asset manager, with a proven track record of successful private equity, distressed debt and mezzanine investing. He is also a member of The Council on Foreign Relations, The Partnership for New York City and the National Advisory Board of JPMorgan Chase. Mr. Black is also a member of the Board of Faster Cures and the Port Authority Task Force. He graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1973 with a major in Philosophy and History and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1975.
