Iris Diagnostics is a leader in automated urinalysis technology with its workstations installed in major medical institutions throughout the world. Iris Diagnostics manufactures the only clinical analyzers which use real-time video flow imaging, displaying microscopic images on a video screen. The systems are operated by touch screen interfaces pioneered by the Company for use in urinalysis and microscopic analysis of body fluids. The Company's imaging systems use patented and proprietary Automated Intelligent Microscopy (AIM) technology for automating microscopic procedures, enabling clinical laboratory technologists to rapidly and efficiently analyze and process specimens automatically, significantly reducing the costly and time-consuming manual steps required for microscopic analysis. Iris Sample Processing (formerly StatSpin ), acquired in 1996, excels as a maker of innovative centrifuges and blood analysis products. Forty thousand of its benchtop centrifuge systems have been sold to date. Major medical institutions worldwide, along with thousands of smaller hospitals, commercial laboratories, clinics, doctors' offices, veterinary labs and research institutions use Iris Sample Processing's products. Iris Sample Processing manufactures the world's fastest blood separator (30 seconds). Peter Donato joined the company in August 2007 as Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Peter has over 15 years of progressive experience managing financial organizations including enterprises in medical device manufacturing. Prior to joining IRIS, Mr. Donato served as Vice President and CFO, for Gamma Medica-Ideas Inc., an early stage manufacturer of medical imaging equipment. From 2003 to 2006, he was Vice President of Finance for the Cardiology Division of Accellent, Inc., which manufactures medical devices for interventional cardiology applications. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Donato worked for the Scotts-Miracle Gro Company in various Divisional Controllership roles. From 1994-2000, Mr. Donato worked in the automotive industry with both General Motors and Honda after beginning his career in public accounting with Ernst and Young. Mr. Donato earned his B.S.B.A. in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) at The Ohio State University and received an M.B.A. from the College of Business Administration at the University of Akron (Ohio). Mr. Donato is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
