Mr. Miller has been our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation since August 1990. He is a director of Cummins Inc. (a worldwide diesel engine manufacturer), and a director or trustee of three mutual funds in the American Family of Funds of the Capital Group (New Perspective Fund, Euro Pacific Growth Fund and New World Fund). He also serves as a trustee of Yale University and a director of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation (a private grantmaking foundation focused on human and community development).

With more than 30 years of commercial lending experience, John joined the Irwin organization in 2002 as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IFCC. Prior to Irwin, John was the executive vice president and COO of Franchise Capital Services, a division of Federated Capital Corporation. He has also held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President of Equipment Finance with FMAC as well as Senior Vice President of the commercial finance business that included the franchise lending business of Bell Atlantic Capital Corporation.

Matt Souza is Chief Administrative Officer of Irwin Financial Corporation. Matt joined the Irwin Union Bank Trust Department in 1982 and Irwin Financial as Director of Administrative Services in 1984. At Irwin Financial, Matt is responsible for Community Relations, Corporate Governance, Ethics, Government Affairs, Human Resources and Legal. He has been active in service to the local community having served as member of the Columbus Redevelopment Commission, leader for the St. Bartholomew Music Ministry, President of Children, Inc. (not-for-profit childcare), coach for the Columbus Express youth soccer club, board member of United Way of Bartholomew County, and chair of Business Law Section of Indiana State Bar Association. Matt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Indiana University and a JD degree from Indiana University School of Law. Additionally, he is a TEP (The Executive Program) graduate of the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Thomas D. Washburn (59) has been our Executive Vice President since August 1999 and one of our officers since 1976. From 1981 to August 1999 he served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Odden retired as Head Master of The Taft School (a private educational institution) in June 2001, having served in that capacity since 1972. Mr. Odden serves as an advisor to Warburg Pincus (private equity investors), and is a director of the Berkshire School (a co-educational boarding school). Mr. Odden is a managing director of New Providence Asset Management Corporation, (an investment manager of charitable endowments).

As President of Irwin Home Equity Lending, Jocelyn formulates and articulates the company's overall vision, mission statement, and strategic plan. She devises and executes major policies, programs, and objectives to promote and ensure the company's continuing success and growth. Before joining IHE in 1996, Jocelyn was a Vice President for Bank of America Mortgage Group and Senior Vice President of Mortgage Origination Operations for ITT Residential Capital. She also filled a variety of management roles in an eight-year career at Citibank.

Brenda J. Lauderback was appointed to the Select Comfort Board of Directors in February 2004. Ms. Lauderback served as President of the Retail and Wholesale Group for the Nine West Group, Inc., a designer and marketer of women's footwear and accessories, from May 1995 until January 1998. Ms. Lauderback also serves as a director of Big Lots, Inc., Irwin Financial Corporation, Wolverine World Wide, Inc., and Denny’s Corporation.

Ms. Zuraitis is President of The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. s property and casualty insurance companies, Citizens Insurance Company of America and The Hanover Insurance Company. Prior to joining The Hanover Insurance Group, Ms. Zuraitis served as an Executive Vice President for the St. Paul Companies (a provider of insurance and surety products and risk management services) from 1998 to 2004, and as the President/CEO of its Commercial Lines Division from 2002 to 2004. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Worcester Academy (a private, co-educational boarding school). In 2007, Ms. Zuraitis attended 90% of the Board and Committee meetings of which she is a member. Age 47.

Ms. Dean is a retired Senior Vice President of Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. (an investment bank, which is now part of UBS). She serves as Chairman of the Paideia School Endowment Board and is former President of the Board of Trustees, Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
