Jon joined iSuppli in 2001 from Electronic News where he served as editor-in-chief and executive editor since 1998, managing the editorial staff and Internet news operation. Prior to Electronic News, Jon was a senior analyst with Gartner/Dataquest, where he directed the consumer electronics semiconductor program. He also has served at EBN as a senior editor covering the microprocessor and consumer electronics beats. At iSuppli, Jon manages public relations and coordinates contributed article activities. In 1977 he was one of the founders of Skyway Systems, a high technology logistics firm located in Watsonville, California. Skyway was a regular on Inc. magazine|s fastest growing lists for a number of years, and Jim was recognized as an Inc.|s Entrepreneur of the Year in 1993. He worked at IBM designing and marketing computer systems for major airlines and transportation companies in the 1970s. Jim graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a BS degree in engineering and served as a Navy pilot until 1974
