Tom Turner, has been President and CEO of Itronix Corporation since January 2002, and after the September 2005 acquisition of Itronix by General Dynamics, was also appointed Vice President and General Manager of Computing Technologies for General Dynamics C4 Systems. Mr. Turner brings to General Dynamics and Itronix a career of success in high technology and mobile computing solutions. Previously, Tom was Senior Vice President at WhereNet, a Silicon Valley based leader in Real Time Location Systems (RTLS). He joined WhereNet in 1999 from Datamax Corporation, a leading supplier of products and services for the bar code industry, where he was President and Director for five years. Under Turner's leadership, Datamax grew bar code printer business several fold, and earned recognition for the development of international business in the form of the Presidential "E Award" for Export Excellence. Prior to Datamax, Turner was Senior Vice President-North America for Symbol Technologies, where he managed the transition of Symbol to a system supplier of mobile handheld computers and wireless LAN products, and more than doubled the business. Mr. Turner also held various senior management positions with Wang Laboratories in the US and Internationally. Mr. Turner holds 2 US Patents.
