Coding Products was established in 1977 as part of the Maple Roll Leaf Group, the market leader in the development and implementation of heat transfer ink technology. The first product we manufactured was hot stamp foil for code date marking in the food industry. In 1986, Coding Products added two new products to its manufacturing process ? thermal transfer ribbon and hot ink rollers. Thermal transfer ribbon is used for thermal image printing of bar codes, text and graphics on pressure sensitive and synthetic label materials, flexible packaging films and plastics. Coding Products was the first company to develop and manufacture thermal transfer ribbon in the United States.
