(HYSE: UFI) produces and sells polyester and nylon textured yarns used for knitting and weaving. The company sells its yarn to knitters and weavers that produce fabrics for a variety of industries, including furniture upholstery, home furnishings, apparel, hosiery, and clothing. Most of it's raw materials are purchased from DuPont. The company has revenue of about $800 million and employs about 3,900 people. In 2005 the company closed its Central Distribution Center in Mayodan, NC and moved its operations to its Warehouse and Logistics facilities in Yadkinville, NC.
