James C. Wachtman, age 48, became the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and President in August 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Wachtman served as Chief Operating Officer of LaserVision Centres Inc. (“LaserVision”) from June 1996 to July 1998, and as President and Chief Operating Officer of LaserVision from August 1998 to May 2002 and as TLCVision’s President and Chief Operating Officer from May 2002 to August 2004. Prior to joining LaserVision, Mr. Wachtman was employed in various senior management positions by McGaw, Inc., a manufacturer of medical disposables. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Management and Marketing from Missouri State University.

Henry Lynn is Executive Vice President, Information Systems of TLCVision. During 1994 Mr. Lynn was Vice President Information Systems for Hawker Siddeley Canada, Inc. and from 1995 to March 1998 performed in that role for BeaconEye Inc. Prior to 1994, Mr. Lynn was Vice President, Information Systems of Indal Ltd., a large diversified multi-plant manufacturing organization.

James J. Hyland joined TLCVision as Vice President, Investor Relations in 2007. Prior to joining TLCVision, Mr. Hyland was VP Investor Relations and Corporate Communications for USF Corp, a $2.4 billion Chicago based transportation holding company. In addition, Mr. Hyland was Senior Vice President Investor Relations for Comdisco, a Rosemont, Illinois based Fortune 500 financial and technology services firm. During his 18 years with the firm, he developed and directed a comprehensive global strategic communications program for the company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hyland spent two years with Deloitte Touche as a consultant as well as two years with G.D. Searle Corporation, now part of Pfizer. Mr. Hyland is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS in Finance.

Dr. Hardten recently received the Senior Achievement Award Dr. David R. Hardten, a board-certified ophthalmologist and founding partner of Minnesota Eye Consultants, is one of the nation's most prominent leaders in research and education and treatment of the cornea, external disease, anterior segment, cataract, refractive and laser surgery. As director for Minnesota Eye Consultants' Clinical Research Department, Dr. Hardten leads extensive research projects surrounding the latest refractive procedures for correction of myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia. He also serves as director of Minnesota Eye Consultants' fellowship and optometric residency program, both of which are prestigious, year-long fellowships that train physicians in the sub-specialties of cornea and external disease, glaucoma, cataract and refractive surgery. A native of Kansas City, KS, Dr. Hardten graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School. He attended the University of Kansas, and was later accepted in the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology residency program. While completing residency training, Dr. Hardten received numerous honors and awards for outstanding achievement. He completed his fellowship training in cornea and external disease at the University of Minnesota and received the ARVO/National Eye Institute Fellow Award. Dr. Hardten entered private practice in 1993 with Drs. Richard L. Lindstrom and Thomas W. Samuelson as founding partners of Minnesota Eye Consultants. His practice extends beyond Minnesota Eye Consultants to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, as well as greater Minnesota, providing medical and surgical services to patients in the Twin Cities and outside communities. Dr. Hardten has focused on education throughout his career. As associate professor of ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology, he is actively involved in teaching residents at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, as well as fellows at the Veterans Medical Center, Minneapolis. He also serves as a clinical associate professor for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Additionally, he is an instructor for VISX and Laser Vision Centers, where he teaches ophthalmologists from around the world to perform LASIK. Dr. Hardten consults to many major ophthalmologic companies, holds three patents and serves on the editorial board for several ophthalmic journals. He is a regular contributor and reviewer for numerous ophthalmic papers and journals. Dr. Hardten has held leadership positions in many professional organizations, including board director for the International Society of Refractive Surgery; co-medical director for Laser Vision Centers, Inc.; board of directors for the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists; programming and refractive surgery interest group planning committee of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. While serving for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he received its distinguished achievement award in 1999 for his countless efforts to advance the agenda of the Academy. Dr. Hardten lectures throughout the world on refractive surgery and research. He has published over 20 chapters and 100 articles on cornea, cataract and refractive surgery.

Michael D. DePaolis, O.D. is a co-founder and member of DePaolis and Ryan, O.D., PC, a professional optometric corporation located in Rochester, NY, since 1995. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has been the Chief Optometric Editor of Primary Care Optometry News since 1995. Dr. DePaolis is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He has served as a member of the Professional Advisory Panel for Refractive Surgery Services/Data-Site and served as a Visiting Professor at the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India. Dr. DePaolis also served on the editorial boards of Contact Lens Spectrum and Review of Optometry. He has also served as an FDA Clinical Investigator and participates in the FDA Speaker Bureau.
