Dr. Michael Ray has served as Chief of Cardiology at JFK Medical Center for more than 20 years and is a member of its Board of Trustees. Dr. Robert Chait, Dr. Diego Sadler and Dr. Gary Shifrin have served on the Executive Committee of JFK Medical Center. Dr. Richard Kachel and Dr. Norman Erenrich have served as directors of the Division of Cardiology at Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Dr. Erenrich has served on the Executive Committee of Good Samaritan Medical Center and as Chairman of its Medical Staff and a member of its Board of Trustees. Several of the physicians have active faculty appointments at the University of Miami and the newly-established medical school at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Gary Shifrin is a sought-after and experienced speaker to local and national physician audiences on a variety of medical topics. Dr. Chait is the Medical Director for Cardiovascular Services at JFK Medical Center.

Elizabeth S. Smoots, MD is a board certified family physician based in Seattle, Washington. A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Smoots specializes in prevention and primary care medicine. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical field in private practice, health maintenance organizations, and various group-practice clinics around the Seattle area.

Dr. Przybylski is professor and director of neurosurgery at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Coding and Reimbursement Committee. He is also on the faculty for AANS s coding and reimbursement courses, and is council director of socioeconomic affairs for the North American Spine Society and program chair of its coding update courses.

Hassan Rastegar, MD is a Senior Surgeon in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Rastegar is also an Associate Professor at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Pahlavi University Medical School in Shiraz, Iran, and completed post-graduate training at the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University. Dr. Rastegar's clinical specialties include coronary artery surgery, complex valve replacement and repairs, minimally invasive heart surgery, and heart transplantation. He holds board certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Howard Routman, D.O. is a Board Certified Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Shoulder Reconstruction. Dr. Routman has been a South Florida resident since 1980, and is an active member of our community. Dr. Routman graduated from Nova-Southeastern University with the Highest Honors. He served his Internship at the Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his Residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Routman spent an additional year as a Fellow at the prestigious Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation studying Shoulder Reconstruction. Since that time, Dr. Routman has been honored to be on the teaching faculty of numerous courses, instructing on advanced shoulder reconstructive techniques. He also has been involved in the investigation and development of shoulder prosthetic implants both in the USA and Europe. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red Cross and serves on the regulatory boards of local hospitals. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at nearby Nova-Southeastern University, he is involved in teaching young doctors the science and art of medicine. Dr. Routman has participated in many community lectures. He has appeared on local television and radio programs to discuss shoulder disorders. In addition to the non-surgical management of shoulder and orthopaedic disorders, Dr. Routman commonly performs Total Shoulder Replacement, Outpatient Arthroscopic Shoulder Repair, and redo shoulder surgery. Dr. Routman is one of South Florida's leading shoulder specialists, providing care for Palm Beach and surrounding counties. Dr. Routman is on staff at JFK Medical Center, Columbia Hospital, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, and the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Igor Puzanov, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. His major interests are phase I drug development, targeted therapy for renal cell carcinoma and melanoma. Dr. Puzanov earned his medical degree from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

Dr. Scott D. Norris, D.O. is a Board Certified Fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon and has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 2000. Dr. Norris graduated from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - the School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internship and Orthopedic Residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital at Stratford, New Jersey. He received his Fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Norris has also received training to perform Hip Arthroscopy which is not offered by many orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Norris practices general orthopedics with specialization in Sports Medicine. He also has interest in general pediatric orthopedics. Additionally, Dr. Norris extends his Sports Medicine philosophy to treat work related injuries. He is a Clinical Examiner for Orthopedic Board Certification. Dr. Norris was awarded the Palm Beach Physician of the Year Volunteer Healthcare Provider Award for providing care to local indigent patients. Dr. Norris participates in the Interns Lecture Program at Columbia Hospital. He also lectures the community on various topics related to orthopedic disorders. His fellowship training allows him to treat complex injuries of shoulder, knee, hip, foot, and ankle. His special interests include: Arthroscopic and Open Knee Ligament Reconstruction, Cartilage Injuries of the Knee (OATS), Arthroscopic and Open Shoulder Reconstruction, Rotator Cuff Repair, Ankle Arthroscopy, and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery. William Danby, MD is a dermatologist in private practice. His interest in acne, hormones, dairy products, and dietary influences on skin disease goes back over 30 years. He is an adjunct assistant professor of medicine (dermatology) at Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire. He also is supervising further acne research at international sites.
