Gary was previously a main board director of John Laing plc ? one of the largest publicly quoted infrastructure investors in the UK at the time ? and was senior portfolio director with the responsibility of managing and growing the John Laing infrastructure asset portfolio during the period that the company was transformed from a construction company into an infrastructure investor. Gary joined John Laing in 2001 and left in 2007 after overseeing its sale to Henderson for approximately 1 billion. John Laing plc delivered approximately 45% IRR for investors from October 2001 to the date of its acquisition. Gary was also the chief executive officer of John Laing Capital Management Ltd (an FSA authorised fund management entity). Gary has a project finance and accountancy background and is an FSA approved person.

John is a Director of John Laing Social Infrastructure and Chief Executive of Primary Plus, the Group?s joint-venture to participate in the NHS LIFT initiative. He is responsible for spearheading the company?s growth plans in the primary and social healthcare market. John joined the Group in November 2005 from Aramark, where he was latterly Managing Director of their healthcare and defence business. He has extensive experience in public sector projects and has been involved in the Private Finance Initiative since its inception in the early 1990s. John?s previous roles include heading up the FM business at Jarvis and Managing Director of Government Services at Sodehxo.

Cath joined British Rail in 1992 as a General Management trainee, on completion of her training, she was appointed Assistant Station Manager, Oxford & Banbury. She then joined the Chiltern Lines in 1994 as Area Retail Manager (South) and continued her career progression in different sales, advertising and PR roles and was appointed to the Chiltern Railways Board of Directors in 1999 as Director of Marketing. In 2002, her role was extended to Sales & Marketing Director where she was responsible for the company?s frontline customer service, revenue generation and retail operational activities in addition to all passenger communications, marketing and PR. In February 2004 she was appointed Managing Director of Chiltern Railways.

In the course of his career, Adrian has had management responsibility for a wide range of railway activities, including operations, engineering and marketing. Throughout, he has been at the forefront of improving productivity and delivering change, initially as Engineering Manager, then moving progressively into business management and, since 1993, as Managing Director of Chiltern Railways. Adrian is now Chairman of Chiltern Railways and Chairman of John Laing Rail.

Andy is currently Commercial Advisor to the United Kingdom Department for Transport, a non-executive director of Partnerships UK and Financial Security Assurance (UK) Ltd and a strategic advisor to the ING European Infrastructure Fund. Between 1999 and 2006, he worked for John Laing Plc firstly as a managing director of Laing Investments Limited, a subsidiary of John Laing group, and then as group chief executive officer where he was responsible for restructuring the company from a construction company to a leading listed specialist infrastructure investor. Between 1997 and 1999 he worked as an associate director at Macquarie Bank in London and prior to that was chief executive officer of the City of Melbourne, Australia. His earlier career was spent at the Greater London Council and working for a range of community and voluntary sector groups.

David is a Director of John Laing Social Infrastructure, responsible for business development. David joined the Group in 2002. He established Primary Plus as one of the market leaders in the redevelopment of primary care facilities procured under the Government?s LIFT initiative. He is currently responsible for the John Laing/Serco/Laing O?Rourke joint-venture on the 700m Leicester hospitals PFI project. Prior to joining John Laing, David was the General Manager for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project during construction of the section through Kent. Prior to this he was the Technical Director for Lusoponte during the design and construction of the US$1bn Vasco da Gama bridge in Lisbon.

Roger is Managing Director of Henderson Equity Partners and a member of Henderson Global Investors' senior management team. He has over twenty years of investment and management experience covering listed (fixed interest and equities) and unlisted assets (property and private equity) and has led Henderson Equity Partners since 1998. Roger is Chairman of the Investment Committee.
