In this role, Mr. McDaniel is responsible for all activities of the corporation and its two operating divisions: Moody's Investors Service, the credit rating agency; and Moody's Analytics. Mr. McDaniel has held a variety of positions since joining the firm in 1987. He was named President of Moody's Investors Service in November 2001. He was promoted to Executive Vice President of the corporation and was elected to its board of directors in April 2003. Mr. McDaniel was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Moody's Corporation in January 2004, and was named President of the corporation in October 2004. He assumed responsibility as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in April 2005. During his tenure, Mr. McDaniel has helped lead the company to record levels of financial performance and implemented important enhancements to Moody's ratings practices. Some of these initiatives include growing the core ratings and research business globally, implementing international expansion and new products, and improving professional practices in the ratings business by enhancing credit policies, rating committee processes, and credit research capabilities. In his earlier days with the firm, Mr. McDaniel served as Senior Managing Director for Global Ratings & Research. He was Managing Director for International, with responsibility for designing and managing regional expansion in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Mr. McDaniel also served as Managing Director for Moody's Europe, based in London. In that capacity, he was responsible for managing all business and rating activities for Moody's in the region. He began his Moody's career as a Senior Analyst in the Asset Securitization department in New York. Mr. McDaniel holds a J.D. from Emory University School of Law and a B.A. in political science from Colgate University. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1984, and is a member of the board of directors of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and the National Council on Economic Education.

Warren J. Baker, a director since 1993, has been President of California Polytechnic State University since 1979, and was a member of the National Science Board from 1985 to 1994. He was a Regent of the American Architectural Foundation from 1995 to 1998; a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ASCE Civil Engineering Research Foundation from 1989 to 1991; Member of the Board of Directors of the California Council on Science and Technology; Co-Chair of the California Joint Policy Council on Agriculture and Higher Education from 1995 to 2001; Board member of the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges (NASULGC) from 2003 to the present; Chair of the NASULGC Commission on Information Technologies from 1995 to 2006; Member of the NASULGC Commission on University Science and Mathematics Teacher Education in 2007; Member of the Executive Committee of the Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF); Co-Chair of BHEF Math and Science Education and STEM Initiatives; Board Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation from 2003 to 2005; Member of the National Academy of Engineering Steering Committee on Enhancing Community College Pathways to Engineering Careers from 2004 to 2005; and Board Member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation from 2003 to 2005. William Plummer was appointed chief financial officer of United Rentals in 2008. His more than two decades of financial leadership experience include positions as chief financial officer of Dow Jones & Company, where he set policy for global finance and corporate strategy, and vice president and treasurer of Alcoa Inc., where he was responsible for global treasury policy and relationship management with commercial and investment banks. Previously, he held executive positions with Mead Corporation and General Electric Capital Corporation. Mr. Plummer serves as a director and audit committee chairman for John Wiley & Sons, Inc. He holds degrees in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a master of business administration degree from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
