Owen Sullivan, 50, has served since 2005 as Executive Vice President of Manpower Inc., a professional staffing firm, and as Chief Executive Officer of Right Management, a Manpower subsidiary and a global provider of integrated consulting solutions across the employment lifecycle. Since 2003, Mr. Sullivan has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Jefferson Wells International, Inc., a Manpower subsidiary delivering professional services in the areas of internal audit, technology risk management, tax, and finance and accounting. Prior thereto, Mr. Sullivan was President of the Financial Services Group - Metavante Corporation, a provider of banking and payments technologies, from 1999 to 2003 and also served as an independent consultant from 2002 to 2003. Mr. Sullivan was elected to the Board on July 10, 2007 and is a member of the Compensation Committee.
Andre Fernandez was named EVP Finance & Strategy for Journal Communications in October 2008, and added the duties of Chief Financial Officer in November 2008. Fernandez oversees all financial and strategic planning activities at Journal and reports directly to Journal Communications President, Steve Smith.
A seasoned financial executive, Fernandez recently joined Journal from the General Electric Company (GE), where he held a variety of financial leadership roles throughout the company, in addition to spending the last five years in broadcast media at NBC Universal. As SVP/CFO of Telemundo Communications, a wholly-owned division of NBC/GE, Fernandez helped steer the company to the best financial performance in its history, led the acquisitions of Telemundo-RTI (Colombia) Studios, Tepuy International, and participated in the creation of the Yahoo! Telemundo joint venture. He also helped create Telemundo’s strategic programming alliance with Grupo Televisa, and establish the company’s studio and station joint ventures in Mexico. Previously, Fernandez held a number of finance leadership positions with GE in both the US and overseas including: CFO of GE Latin America, based in Mexico City; CFO of GE Digital Energy, based in Atlanta, Georgia; Assistant Treasurer for GE Corporate Treasury; and regional CFO of GE Capital Information Technology Solutions, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
A New York native, Fernandez graduated cum laude from Harvard University with an AB in Economics. He served as Chairman of the Audit Committee of GE Capital Bank Mexico from 2003-2006, and on the Board of Directors of Yahoo! Telemundo and Telemundo Studios Mexico. Fernandez resides in Whitefish Bay, WI with his wife and three children.

Elizabeth (Betsy) Brenner, a 30-year veteran of the newspaper industry, was promoted to executive vice president, Journal Communications, Inc. and chief operating officer, JCI Publishing Businesses in April 2006. She joined Journal Communications as vice president and president and publisher of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in January 2005.
Betsy oversees Wisconsin's largest newspaper, its websites and a wide range of related businesses. The Journal Sentinel is owned by Milwaukee-based Journal Communications Inc.
The Journal Sentinel has a daily circulation of 236,000 and a Sunday circulation of 405,000. It is regularly ranked Number One or Two in the U.S. for overall readership. It also produces a variety of local websites, including jsonline.com, PackerInsider, MilwaukeeNow.com, MilwaukeeMarketplace.com, MilwaukeeMoms.com and six local community sites. The company has over 1,300 employees.
In early 2006, Brenner became chief operating office of Journal Communications' publishing businesses, and added responsibility for the company's community newspaper division, including 90 titles in eight states.
Prior to coming to Milwaukee, Brenner was president and publisher of The News Tribune in Tacoma, WA and The SUN in Bremerton, WA..
Brenner was born and raised in Bellevue, Washington. She attended Northwestern University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism in 1976 and a Master's of Business Administration in 1978. She began her newspaper career as a city news reporter for The Chicago Tribune in 1977.
Brenner worked in several marketing management positions at The New York Times. She moved to The Miami Herald in a series of marketing, advertising and circulation roles. In 1991, she was recruited by Scripps Howard to lead the ad department at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, during the height of that city's newspaper war.
She serves on the boards of The United Way of Greater Milwaukee; the Boys & Girls Club; and the Greater Milwaukee Committee. She represents newspaper interests on the Liaison Committee for the Audit Bureau of Circulations, and the Marketing Committee of the Newspaper Association of America.
She is married to Steven Ostrofsky, a retired writer and newspaper-industry consultant. They live in Delafield, WI. with their two cats, Gato and Fausto.

Mary Hill Leahy was elected senior vice president and general counsel of Journal Communications in June 2003. She joined the company as vice president and general counsel, business services in July 2001.
Leahy served as General Counsel Americas for GE Medical Systems (now GE Healthcare), a developer and manufacturer of medical imaging equipment, from January 1999 to July 2001. She was counsel for products and distribution for GE Medical Systems from June 1997 to January 1999. In addition, Leahy was a consulting attorney for Miller Brewing Company from 1995 to 1997. Previous to that, she was general counsel and chief operating officer of APCO Associates in Washington, D.C., and an attorney with the Washington, D.C., law firms of Arnold & Porter and Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.

Mary Alice Tierney is Vice President of Corporate Communications. Ms. Tierney was elected Vice President of Corporate Communications in June 2000. Ms. Tierney was Communications and Corporate Affairs Manager from August 1999 to June 2000; Corporate Affairs Manager from March 1999 to August 1999; and Vice President of Communications and Community Affairs for Journal Broadcast Group Inc from June 1994 to August 1999.
Kaiser joined the Milwaukee Journal in 1994 and was named managing editor of the merged Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 1995. He became editor in 1997. His tenure over the last decade has included some of the most compelling, revealing reports in the nation such as investigations into Wisconsin’s drinking culture, the hazardous chemicals found in common household items, housing of Milwaukee’s mentally ill, dangers from invasive species in Lake Michigan, and the impact of chronic wasting disease on Wisconsin’s proud hunting culture. Under his leadership, the paper received the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for local reporting for a story on abuses within the Milwaukee County Pension System.
Jeanette Tully, 60, currently serves as Trustee for the Aloha Station Trust LLC and as President and CEO of Radiovisa Corporation. Prior to the Aloha Station Trust LLC and Radiovisa, Ms. Tully was with Entravision Communications Corporation, where she served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Prior to joining Entravision in 1996, Ms. Tully was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alliance Broadcasting Company before its sale to Infinity Broadcasting in early 1996. From 1986 to 1994, Ms. Tully was Vice President of Communications Equity Associates, Inc., a media investment banking and brokerage firm. She also served as Chief Financial Officer of Harte-Hanks Communications’ Broadcasting and Entertainment Division. Ms. Tully is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Tully was elected to the Board in February 2005 and is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
David G. Meissner, 70, retired, served as volunteer Chairman of the Public Policy Forum, Inc., an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to providing information on community issues for government, businesses and citizens, from April 2002 to April 2004. Previously at the Public Policy Forum, Inc., Mr. Meissner served as the President from January 2000 to March 2002 and as the Executive Director from March 1995 to December 1999. Mr. Meissner is a member of the Human Resources and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees and has been a director since April 2004. Mr. Meissner was a director of our predecessor company from June 1988 to February 2003.
David J. Drury, 59, has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and majority owner of Poblocki Sign Company LLC since July 1999. Poblocki Sign Company LLC is a privately held architectural exterior and interior sign company located in West Allis, Wisconsin. Mr. Drury is a Certified Public Accountant, a former partner of Price Waterhouse and served as a business consultant from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Drury is chair of the Executive and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees and serves as our Lead Director. He has been a director since August 2003. Mr. Drury was a director of our predecessor company since March 2003. Mr. Drury is a director and member of the nominating and corporate governance committee and chair of the audit committee at Plexus Corp. and a member of the Board of Trustees and chair of the audit committee at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. Mr. Drury is also a director and member of the audit committee at Fiskars Corporation.
Retired Chairman of the Board, Rockwell Automation, Inc. Don H. Davis, Jr., 66, retired as Chairman of the Board of Rockwell Automation, Inc., a leading global provider of industrial automation power, control and information products and services, in February 2005, a position he had held since 1998. From 1997 to 2004 he served as Rockwell's Chief Executive Officer. He is a director of Rockwell Automation, Inc. and Journal Communications, Inc. Mr. Davis has served as adirector of ITW since 2000.

Joe Hoffman is a Vice President of Sales and Client Services for Troy Research, a market research company based in Columbus, OH. Joe has a BA in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Most recently, Joe was Local Sales Manager for 94.5 WKTI, a Journal Broadcast Group radio station in Milwaukee, WI, where he also was an account manager since 1995. Joe's board experience began in 2000 when he was elected to the Journal Communications Inc. board of directors. In 2001 he was appointed to a one-year term to serve as Executive Liaison to the board of Journal Communications Inc. Joe, along with his wife, Sharon, is a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and served as Evangelism Chairman from 2000-2002 and is currently still a member of that committee.
