As a research director and senior analyst in the Custom Research team at JupiterResearch, Marcia Loewenstein works with clients to evaluate their strategic position and identify opportunities using a broad portfolio of approaches including including market opportunity analysis, customer segmentation, competitive analysis and benchmarking. Before joining Jupiter, Loewenstein was an equity analyst for hedge funds and mutual funds where she focused on technology, healthcare and education companies, identifying secular change in those industries and analyzing its bottom line impact. Prior to obtaining her MBA Loewenstein played key roles on the sales, operations and venture capital sides of investment banking. During her tenure in that industry, she created an innovative database and reporting tool that provided management with a 360-degree view of the business and the impact that each stock trade made to each component of the value-chain. Loewenstein holds a B.A. in Economics/Mathematics from University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia Business School.
