Board of Directors
Joe Tarantola is responsible for the development of the firma s philosophy, strategic goals and objectives and their implementation under the guidance of the Board of Directors. He directs the activities to achieve financial goals as well as to develop the organizational structure and international capabilities of the company.
Rob Guerrera, reporting to the Chairman & CEO, establishes the firma s financial goals, and sets its near- and long-term objectives and budgets. He has day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the treasury, accounting, financial reporting and human resource functions. In addition, he recently established and has operational responsibility for the firma s office in India. Rob brings to Kline nearly twenty years of financial experience gained at two a Fortune 100a more recent experience has been the senior financial management with entrepreneurial, venture-funded start-ups. Here he successfully completed multiple rounds of VC funding, including two secured debt transactions and nine M&A deals within a 5-year period. Rob obtained his accounting and business degree from Saint Johna s University and is a CPA. He lives in Manhattan with his wife Diane and their daughter. He enjoys photography and scuba diving.
Based in the New Jersey office, James M. Weatherall is a senior vice president and corporate officer of Kline & Company, with responsibility for Kline Research, the market research studies division of the company. Mr. Weatherall joined Kline & Company in 1980 as a consultant. Over the next ten years, he held positions of increasing responsibility, serving clients in the petroleum products, packaging, plastics, polymers, and materials industries. In 1990, he was named vice president and corporate officer, with global responsibility for several of these industry practices. In 2001, he was appointed to his current position of senior vice president and elected to the board of directors. In his current role, he has overall responsibility for all multiclient reports and services produced by the firm worldwide. Mr. Weatherall holds a Master of Management Science (1980) and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry (1978), both from Stevens Institute of Technology. He has co-authored and presented numerous articles and speeches on lubricants, high-performance plastics, specialty packaging, advanced materials and other products for international and U.S. trade conferences and publications. He and his wife of more than 25 years, Maureen, reside in Hoboken, NJ. They have two grown children, and enjoy reading, sailing, and touring on their Honda GoldWing.
Based in the Philadelphia Office, Jonathan Goldhill is responsible for Klinea s management consulting services and leads the global strategy practice. With over 20 years of consulting experience, Jonathan has helped leading energy and chemical companies around the world resolve some of their toughest problems. He has a particular interest in deepening and accelerating client engagements through proprietary collaboration tools (The ToolboxTM). Prior to joining Kline, Jonathan was CEO of Cellestian LLC, whose management consulting business was acquired by Kline in April 2005. Previously, he was a Vice President of Arthur D. Little, Inc., based in London and Philadelphia, where he led ADLa s global chemicals practice. He obtained an honors degree in engineering from Kinga s College, University of London, and subsequently read law also at London University.

Susan heads up the firma s management consulting practice in consumer products and she is located in the Little Falls, NJ headquarters office. She brings over 20 years of experience in management consulting and market research in consumer products. Susan works in all the major consumer product sectors, and particularly enjoys those assignments in which she can help a client facing significant competitive challenges. Using our strategy support and development services, she excels at helping them determine how to regain their competitive stature. Prior to joining Kline, Susan was a new products manager at RJR Nabisco. She received her B.S from Ohio State University, and MBA from Monmouth University. Susan lives on an 18th century farmstead in Western New Jersey with her husband, horses, and other assorted creatures. She enjoys tennis, American antiques, and classic cars.

Based in our New Jersey headquarters, Lenka G. Contreras is a vice president at Kline & Company, with responsibility for overseeing Kline Research industry practices in the market research studies division of the company. Ms. Contreras joined Kline & Company in 1991 as a consultant. Her main responsibility over the next several years was serving clients in the consumer products area with main focus on personal care. She managed many projects varying in scope from annual market studies to business assessment and acquisition screening. In 2000, she joined the companya s market research division as a Group Director to oversee consumer products and healthcare industry practices. In 2004 she was promoted to Vice President and in 2005 elected to the board of directors. Prior to joining Kline, Ms. Contreras was a sales analysis manager at Revlon. Ms. Contreras holds a Business of Science degree (1988) in Marketing from St. Petera s College. She presented numerous speeches on the personal care and home care industries for international and U.S. trade conferences. She and her husband Rowell, with their two children, reside in Washington Township, NJ. She is fluent in Croatian.

Based in the Little Falls office, Barry Friedfeld is responsible for the successful execution of global manufacturing economics engagements. With over 20 years of consulting experience at Kline, Barry has helped leading chemical and materials companies around the world resolve some of their toughest problems. He has a particular interest in competitive intelligence including benchmarking competitorsa cost structures and manufacturing processes. Prior to joining Kline, Barry had 20 years of chemical industry experience including plant process engineering and supervision, sales, financial management, and new ventures for such companies as Diamond Shamrock, WR Grace, and Stauffer Chemical. He obtained a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a masters degree in business from the University of New Haven. Barry and his wife, Judy, have two grown children and enjoy skiing and boating.

Based in Milan, Italy, Erin Durham is responsible for overseeing Kline Research Sales in Europe and the Middle East. During the course of her 11-year career, Erin has played a key role in new business development, market research and media and marketing strategies for Fortune 500 companies and governmental institutions throughout Europe and North America. Prior to joining Kline, Erin was an Associate Director with GMA Marketing and Research Consultants. In this role, Ms. Durham was responsible for the strategic development, launch and project management of syndicated and ad hoc research projects in Europe and North America. Ms. Durham received a B.A. in English and Business Administration from Wesleyan College in 1995.
Based in the Little Falls Office, Geeta Agashe is responsible for all of the syndicated analysis carried out by Kline Research's Petroleum & Energy Practice. With over 15 years of consulting and industry experience, Geeta has helped leading specialty petroleum & energy companies around the world resolve some of their toughest problems. She is recognized as a global expert in the area of lubricant basestocks, finished lubricants, lubricant and fuel additives, bio-fuels, asphalt, process oils, and other specialties. Prior to joining Kline, Geeta held positions with KPMG-Peat Marwick in their Management Consulting Division, PTC International in their Gasoline Division, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in their Lubricants Marketing Division. She obtained a BS degree from Pune University, India, an MBA from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (one of the top ten business schools in India), and a MBA from Loyola College, Baltimore, MD. Geeta is passionate about her family, cricket, music, and Bollywood movies.

John Hadley is responsible for Kline & Companya s IT infrastructure and all information systems worldwide. With almost 30 years of IT experience, 24 years at Kline, John has taken the firm through several generations of technology upgrades and has implemented dozens of systems to improve internal productivity and quality of deliverables to our clients throughout the years. John started his career with an Associates Degree in Chemical Technology from County College of Morris. But, that was back in the days, long before the Internet, when it took three weeks to receive any information about a company and when programming was done on punch cards. John writes, sings and plays guitar and enjoys the outdoors.
Tom Aldred is responsible for the staffing and delivery of Klinea s management consulting engagements in the United States. Tom is based out of the Little Falls, NJ headquarters.
Based in Ellicott City, MD, Dennis Fugate is an Agriculture industry expert serving the Kline Specialty Pesticide practice. Mr. Fugate has worked with Kline since 1996 as an independent associate in the specialty pesticide practice working on various multi-client and proprietary studies. In addition to working with Kline, Mr. Fugate has served in various capacities in the animal health and pest control divisions of Zoecon Industries in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Fugate also worked as a Marketing Manager for the Biocontrol division of W.R.Grace, in Columbia, Maryland. Mr. Fugate, his wife of 25 years, Jan, and their 15 year old son, Collin reside in Ellicott City, MD. They enjoy running, biking, and travel.
Pauline has been providing bookkeeping services for more than 20 years. She spends significant time setting up and training clients in the use of automated accounting systems including QuickBooks. Pauline manages the day-to-day operations of Kline & Company and the firm's computer systems. Pauline has attended many specialized courses in computer applications and has a Certificate in PC Applications having completed a 900-hour program.
Mr. Aoki has served on the Board since July 2008. Mr. Aoki is an Executive Officer of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K"Line) and is responsible for Energy Transport Sector including natural gas, FPSO, offshore support vessels, MODU and other floating units. During his 27-years career with "K"Line, he has been a Project Manager for LNG transport project such as Qatargas, RasGas, Snohvit, Tangguh and many others. He was also a board member of EnerSea Transport LLC until June 2008 having pursued the project development of CNG. Before joining LNG Group of "K"Line, he served "K"Line as Resident Representative in Rio de Janeiro and CarCarrier Group besides studying under the corporate scholarship in Business School of Syracuse University, NY and Law School of Tulane University, LA. He holds Bachelor of Business Administration in 1981 from Shinshu University.
Jessica joined Kline & Company in 2002 as the firm's Receptionist. The first impression that Jess gives to our clients helps them feel welcome and part of the Kline & Company team. Jess greets our clients, schedules appointments and works on client projects. Jess also purchases the firm's supplies, coordinates the workflow between our offices and assembles the final tax returns for delivery to our clients.
Based in Klinea s Little Falls headquarters, David Vladyka is a Director in Klinea s management consulting practice, responsible for the firma s customer management offerings. Dave has been a consultant with Kline for over 12 years. During his tenure he has led engagements for global competitors representing all of Klinea s core industries. His experience throughout the value chain has helped our client base to develop growth strategies and better improve positioning against competition. Prior to joining Kline, Dave spent several years in brand management in the food industry. During this time he had responsibility for launching new products as well as managing the share position of category leaders. He has a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in finance/marketing/international business from New York University.

Mark De Decker is based in Klinea s Brussels office and is responsible for managing a large number of Klinea s management consulting assignments in Europe. He has worked with Kline for over 15 years and managed most studies that Kline conducted in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East Africa) region. During his 15 years of consulting, he has been exposed to a wide variety of assignments in chemicals, minerals, polymers, lubricants, consumer goods and related fields. His key responsibility is to ensure that Klinea s consulting teams deliver consistently high quality results in often extremely short time frames. Prior to working with Kline he was employed by the United Nations where he worked on a number of UN projects in Africa. He obtained a Masters degree in geology from the University of Ghent, Belgium.
