Mr. Arnold joined the board in late 2007. He is the former vice president and chief technical officer of Kennametal Inc., Latrobe, Pennsylvania. For 24 years, Mr. Arnold managed the activities of Kennametal's world-class Technology Center and directed all global research and technology functions (development of new products, materials and applications; improvement of existing products and applications; and research and development of product manufacturing procedures and techniques.) He also directed all technological operations that support the corporation's product manufacturing and sales operations. Before joining Kennametal, Mr. Arnold was in the materials and process technology laboratories, Aircraft Engine Group, General Electric Company, Evendale, Ohio. Prior to that, he was with Fansteel and DuPont, both in Baltimore, Maryland. He led the effort to have the Department of Defense establish the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining at Kennametal and served as its first Chairman of the Board. Mr. Arnold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Virginia Tech.

Frank P. Simpkins is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT). In this role, Mr. Simpkins is responsible for the company’s accounting, finance, internal audit, investor relations, M&A, tax and ,treasury functions.
Mr. Simpkins joined Kennametal in October 1995, and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility within the Finance organization. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Kennametal India Ltd. John H. Jacko, Jr. is Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Kennametal Inc. In this role, Mr. Jacko is responsible for enterprise marketing and corporate strategy.
Before serving in his current role, Mr. Jacko served as the company’s Vice President Corporate Strategy and Vice President Global Marketing for Kennametal’s Metalworking Solutions and Services Group (MSSG). He joined Kennametal in March 2007.
Previously, Mr. Jacko served as a Corporate Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for Flowserve Corporation. Prior to that, he spent six years with Honeywell Aerospace (previously AlliedSignal) in various management positions including Vice President Customer and Product Support and Director, Customer Business. Before joining Honeywell, Mr. Jacko served as Manager, Customer Support – Commercial Helicopters for Textron Lycoming in Stratford, Connecticut. He has over 25 years of experience in the areas of marketing, strategy, product management, branding, portfolio management, and communications.
Mr. Jacko holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the University of Connecticut and a master’s in business administration from the University of New Haven. He is also Green Belt certified in Six Sigma training.

Mr. Derek Johnson is currently the Vice President of new business development for Kennametal, a public company based in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Johnson has held this position since October 2008. He has served as President of Fusion Specialties, a specialty supplier to the retail industry, from November 2005 to October 2008. From 1984 to 2005, Mr. Johnson was employed in various positions, most recently as President and Chief Operating Officer, by CoorsTek, a manufacturer of technical products, supplying critical components and assemblies for mining automotive, semiconductor, aerospace, electronic, power generation, telecommunication and other high-technology applications on a global basis. He has a Higher National Certificate from Kirkcaldy College in Scotland and an Executive MBA from the University of Denver. Mr. Ronald Johnson has been involved in all phases of the chemical industry, including production, compounding and distribution in domestic and international markets, for 50 years. He held a marketing position in strategic planning with Dupont, Industrial and Biochemical Department; Gamlen Chemical, an international compounding company as manager of worldwide development; and Univar, a large global chemical distributor from 1968 to 1984. He served as a Board member of Charter National Bank and Trust from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Johnson also served on the Board of Earth Sciences, Inc. from 1999 to 2003. Mr. Johnson has been President of Twin-Kem International, Inc., a distributor of agricultural and industrial chemicals, since 1984, and President of ExecuVest, Inc., an oil & gas exploration company, since 1987. Mr. Lanza is Vice President and Treasurer for Kennametal Inc. In this role, he is responsible for Kennametal’s worldwide treasury activities, including corporate finance, foreign exchange exposure management, cash management, banking relations, corporate credit / receivables management, and vendor support services. He also advises on Kennametal’s pension plan investments as a member of Kennametal Inc.’s ERISA Committee and as the chairman of the Kennametal Ltd. (UK) pension trustee committee.
He was elected a corporate vice president in October 2006, following his election as Corporate Treasurer in July 2003. Wayne D. Moser is Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller of Kennametal Inc. (KMT: NYSE). In this role, Mr. Moser is responsible for the company’s corporate and operational financial accounting, planning, reporting, and controlling.
Prior to assuming his current role in December 2006, Mr. Moser was based in Switzerland and served as the company’s European CFO. Before that, he was based in Germany and served in a number of key roles including: Director of European Strategic Initiatives, in which he led the successful implementation of a new business model for the company’s European operations; General Manager, Industrial Products Europe; and Integration Director, in which he was responsible for the integration of a major acquisition (Widia). Prior to assuming these responsibilities in Germany in mid 2002, Mr. Moser served for over four years as General Manager of the Mining & Construction Division.
Mr. Moser joined Kennametal in 1984 and has served the company in several other positions. From 1993 to 1997, he spent over four years in Germany as Chief Financial Officer for Kennametal’s European operations. Mr. Moser’s other previous positions with Kennametal were principally within the company’s metalworking operations and involved jobs mostly in the area of financial and operations control. In these previous assignments, he was based in several locations in various countries, including England, Switzerland, and the United States.
Prior to joining Kennametal, Mr. Moser worked for ten years for the international accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Moser graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and hold’s a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He received his Certified Public Accountant certificate from the University of Illinois in 1979. He and his wife, Carol, reside in Greensburg, Pa.
Prior to joining the NCDMM, Mr. VanKirk held numerous positions within Kennametal Inc. The latest was as Director, New Business Development, which involved identifying new business opportunities for Kennametal, involving mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this position, Mr. VanKirk served as the interim Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the global planning and coordination of new product and process development. Mr. VanKirk also served as the Director, Innovation Partnership where he was responsible for building mutually beneficial collaborative efforts involving academic, governmental and industrial partnerships. Mr. VanKirk has been with Kennametal Inc. for over 24 years, starting his career as an engineer and moving into R&D management where he has held various positions with sequentially greater levels of engineering and management responsibility. This included responsibility for metalworking, mining, construction and wear, product development, as well as various powder metallurgy process development activities such as part consolidation. Prior to joining Kennametal Inc., Mr. VanKirk spent over four years with Westinghouse Electric Company, performing safety analysis on commercial nuclear power plants. He received a BS degree in mechanical engineering and mathematics from Grove City College, and a MS degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. Mr. VanKirk holds numerous patents for various material compositions, as well as tool holder designs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Doyle Center in Pittsburgh, is Vice Chair of the National Defense Industrial Association's (NDIA) Manufacturing Division and also serves on the Westmoreland-Fayette County Workforce Investment Board. He has served on the Board of Directors for the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, the Manufacturing Engineering Advisory Board of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the Board of the Refractory Metals Association, and the Technology Issues Committee of the Association for Manufacturing Technology. Hempel is the former vice chairman and chief financial officer of Fort Howard Corporation. "Steven H. Wunning is a group president and executive office member of Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Ill. Wunning has administrative responsibility for the Advanced Systems Division, Core Components Division, Electronics & Connected Worksite Division, Logistics Division, Product Development Center of Excellence, and Global Purchasing Division.
Since joining Caterpillar in 1973, Wunning has held numerous positions with increasing responsibility in the areas of quality, manufacturing, product support and logistics. In 1987, he was one of the first employees in the newly formed subsidiary Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc. (Cat Logistics), which was established to leverage Caterpillar's expertise by providing logistics services to other companies. He became vice president of Cat Logistics in 1990 and president in 1994. In 1998, Wunning was named corporate vice president with responsibility for the Logistics & Product Services Division. In 2000, he became corporate vice president with responsibility for the Logistics Division, which combined all of the internal Caterpillar and external client logistics operations into a single unit. In 2004, the Caterpillar Board of Directors named Wunning to group president.
Wunning has a bachelor's degree from University of Missouri Rolla and an Executive M.B.A from the University of Illinois.
Wunning is a member of the Board of Trustees of Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Ill.; a member of the Board of Trustees of Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI in Arlington, VA.; a member of the Board of Directors of Black & Veatch Holding Company in Overland Park, Kan..; a member of the Board of Directors of Kennametal Inc. in Latrobe, PA.; a member of the Board of Governors for the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C.; and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO.

"Timothy (Tim) McLevish joined Kraft Foods in October 2007 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He leads the company's financial operations, including accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, audit and investor relations.
Since 2002, Tim has been Senior Vice President and CFO at Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited, an $11-billion global, diversified industrial products and services firm. Before that, he was with Mead Corporation, where he most recently served as vice president and chief financial officer.
He joined Mead Corporation in 1987 and during his 15 years there held a series of finance, administration and leadership roles. Some of these assignments included Vice President and General Manager, Zellerbach Division; Vice President, Financial Resources and Administration for Mead Data Central; President and General Manager, Specialty Paper Division; and Vice President, Finance and Treasurer.
Prior to joining Mead, Tim began his career with General Mills. There, he held accounting and transportation systems roles.
He serves on the Board of Directors of Kennametal Inc., a global supplier of tooling, engineering components and advanced materials consumed in production processes.
Tim holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. In addition, he is a certified public accountant.
