We had already been making roasted nuts and other goodies for a few years before that fateful day in 1982 when after much hard work, trial and error we made the very first bags of Kettle Brand Chips. In 1988 our founder, Cameron Healy, set off with his son on a six-week motorcycle adventure across Europe. It wasn't all fun and games, though, and the "research" trek soon led to the opening of a new Kettle Foods facility in Norwich, United Kingdom which kicked off our British Invasion. In 1999, we expanded our line to include the Krinkle Cut variety, creating a whole new style for fans to love. Kettle Brand Tortilla Chips and Kettle Brand Baked Potato Chips followed to make up the next generation of our ever-growing snack family. Also in 1999, a couple of Great Blue Herons built a nest in the restored 2-acre wetlands adjacent to our Salem plant. They return every spring to raise their family. ...

Tim Fallon, a natural food pioneer, joined Kettle Foods as president North America in November 2005. Fallon now leads the company's marketing efforts and oversees the launch of new product lines in the U.S., most recently Kettle Foods' new Bakes, baked potato chips. With an extensive background in manufacturing, distribution and finance, as well as experience in sales and marketing, Fallon will help fuel Kettle Foods' expansion efforts and deepen distribution of Kettle brand potato chips. Fallon will also oversee the construction and management of the second U.S. Kettle Foods production facility set to break ground in Beloit, Wis. in April, 2006. The plant will produce and distribute Kettle brand potato chips to meet growing demand in the Midwest and on the east coast. Production is expected to begin in December 2006 and will increase Kettle Foods capacity 50 percent in the first year. Before joining Kettle, Fallon was CEO of Vermont Pure Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded natural spring water company where he led sales growth from $6.5 million to $70 million in nine years. Previously Fallon led management teams at companies including Procter & Gamble, Pepsi-Cola Bottling of New York City and Cadbury Beverages. He also served on the board of Homegrown Natural Foods, Inc., a company with retail roots in the natural food channel. His favorite Kettle brand Potato Chip flavor is XXX.
