| David Spann | Product Specialist |
David Spann has been playing the guitar for 34 years, and his wealth of performance, product knowledge and training expertise is a welcome addition to Korg USA's Product Specialist group. He's been dubbed the "Texas Twister" for his unique, high-energy style of guitar playing. In addition to playing professionally, David has taught guitar, as well as has designed, built and fine-tuned guitar amplification systems for other guitarists for over a decade. When Steve Walsh left his huge 70's progressive rock band "Kansas" in the early 80s, he hooked up with David and formed his own group that later recorded under the name of "Streets". It was a great opportunity for any young musician to work with such a strong singer and songwriter like Steve, especially since David was only 20 years old at the time. Eric Johnson has hailed David as a "high-energy, talented guitar player". Even though David isn't in his early twenties anymore, he can still whip out more than a few riffs on the guitar, is a guitar gear "aficionado" and loves to go out and meet fellow guitarists and interact. David also plays the drums and bass, as well as practicing his audio engineering as a recording enthusiast. He is a recording artist for Austin Templar Records and has a CD out: 1997's "Distant Light".
