For more than 20 years, first as an electrical engineer who made the switch to plant management at General Electric and then as owner of a successful printing business, Roger Gibboni has led highly effective work teams that deliver results. Roger joined L. M. Dulye & Co. as Business Manager in 2003, after 11 years as owner and president of New York-based Walden Printing Co. In less than a decade he grew the business from $1.5 million in revenues to more than $12 million by incorporating Lean manufacturing processes, team-based leadership, statistical process controls and inventory reduction programs. From 1981 through 1992, Roger worked in several leadership positions with General Electric, where he led major manufacturing and engineering programs to unprecedented results in productivity and competitiveness through two-way communications efforts and a laser focus on continuous improvement. His last position with GE was as plant manager of a New Jersey-based Aerospace facility, where Roger lead a team of more than 1,000 represented manufacturing and engineering employees in the design and production of Satellite Terminals, Trident Submarine Radio Rooms, Communications Encryption Equipment and Space Station Communications and Tracking Equipment. While at GE, Roger completed the consolidation of a 10 building facility into two buildings, integrated an MRP II materials management program, consolidated labor occupations from 20 to 3, and developed a Continuous Improvement Program based on Two- Way Communications. Roger earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. In addition, he enrolled in post-graduate studies at Drexel (Engineering Studies) and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School (Business Studies). At GE, Roger completed courses at the company's Executive Development Program at the Crotonville School. An active member of his community, Roger donates his time to several organizations in New York State's Hudson Valley, including the Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center in Warwick; the Council of Industry in New Paltz; the Community Foundation of Orange County in Sugar Loaf; and the New York State Workforce Investment Board in Goshen. In his free time Roger can be found reading his favorite history authors, piloting his small plane or communicating with other short-wave radio enthusiasts. And when he's not creating a gourmet meal, he's often enjoying the outdoors, either on skis or in hiking boots.

As a key member of the L.M.Dulye & Co. team, Bev Pierce brings 30 years' experience leading internal and external communications programs at multinational corporations in the automotive, aerospace, chemical, construction products and heavy-transportation industries. She brings a disciplined, process-oriented approach based on the principles of "plan, implement, measure, improve" to every project, whether it's the development of a comprehensive communication plan tied to business objectives, or more tactical assignments. Prior to joining L.M. Dulye & Co., Bev lead corporate communications at AlliedSignal's largest business unit, Automotive Braking Systems, where she developed internal and leadership communications strategies in support of major business transformation and performance initiatives, including Six Sigma execution. When the Braking Systems business was acquired by Robert Bosch Corp., Bev was a key player on the transition team, planning and implementing both initial and follow-up communication to employees, customers, community leaders and other key audiences. Bev has held leadership positions in Corporate Communications at Libbey-Owens-Ford, the North American division of global glassmaker Pilkington PLC; Hendrickson International, a privately held manufacturer of truck and trailer suspension systems; and Tower Automotive. She began her professional career at the Canadian subsidiary of The BFGoodrich Company, where, as a junior public-relations staffer, one early assignment involved a visit to a local dairy farm for a photo shoot depicting the protective qualities of one of the company's lesser-known products: cow mats. Fortunately (and perhaps on the strength of that assignment), Bev was soon offered the opportunity to join the communications team at BFG's corporate headquarters in Ohio, as editor of the company's nationally recognized employee magazine. She subsequently held several positions in Public Relations and was a key member of the team that developed and executed the communication strategies for the sale of the BFG tire business in the mid-1980s and several other major corporate restructuring moves. For several years Bev was the corporate public relations manager for BFG, handling national media relations and financial communications, including the development and production of the company's annual report to shareholders. An award-winning writer, Bev holds a BA in political science from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She lives in the Chicago area and enjoys hosting friends and family at her century-old home and introducing them to the city's cultural, culinary and recreational attractions. In addition to cows, she also has worked with dogs and chickens. You can reach Bev at bpierce@lmdulye.com bpierce@lmdulye.com .

Mary Hettinger has been helping organizations connect with their employees, customers and shareholders through effective communications for more than 20 years. After a 17-year year career working for various corporations and non-profit organizations, Mary started working as an independent consultant in 2001. Mary's former employers include Textron Inc. and Staples Inc., where she developed and grew the companies' first formal internal communications programs. During the past four years, Mary has helped clients in a wide range of industries: finance (Citizens Financial Group, Fidelity Investments), healthcare/pharmaceutical (Tyco Healthcare), retail (CVS, Hasbro Inc.), real estate development (Gilbane Development Co., William Jackson Associates), public utilities (National Grid US), high-tech (Teradyne) and multi-industry (Textron Inc.). While writing is Mary's foundation, strategic communication planning is her specialty. She knows what it takes to align stakeholder perceptions and behaviors with organizational goals, and she realizes that sometimes "less is more" when it comes to effective communication in today's busy world. Mary is just as comfortable developing a communication plan as she is implementing it. She knows what needs to be done, and she knows how to do it well. Mary has been a chapter leader for the International Association of Business Communicators for more than five years, serving as VP, Membership for the past four years and as President during the current year. Mary graduated from Ohio University, first with a bachelor's degree in Journalism, then a master's degree in Arts Administration (combining Organizational Communications, Public Relations and Theater). Outside of her profession, Mary enjoys raising two children, two cats and two ducks. She is active in her community, volunteering for her church and the town's schools. Her interests include gardening and cooking.

Rich Palmay has been involved with communications, media relations and community relations programs for more than 20 years. He has held leadership positions in several leading companies, beginning with AIL Systems, Inc. in Deer Park, New York, a division of Cleveland's Eaton Corporation. In the early '90s, he was recruited by General Electric at its Government Electronic Systems Division in Moorestown, New Jersey, where he played an important role in managing and communicating change to employees - and improving the business' communications processes. Over the next nine years, Rich had the opportunity to experience and communicate more change, by participating as a key communicator through the consolidation of the defense industry and three landmark mergers of large corporations - and their associated cultures, including Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin. He concluded his corporate career as director of Communications for one of Lockheed Martin's largest and most successful businesses, where he worked closely with employee teams, facilitating their growth, and getting out of their way, when necessary. The business ultimately earned several industry honors, including being named one of "America's Ten Best Plants," by Industry Week magazine in its annual competitive assessment of American manufacturers, the New Jersey Quality Achievement Award, as well as two consecutive entries for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Rich left Lockheed Martin in 2000 to pursue a consulting career in internal communications and public relations with L.M. Dulye & Co. He has held leadership positions in the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey for a number of years, and is a past member of its board or directors, chairman of its annual business expo for five years and former vice chairman of its member services division and charitable foundation. He is also a member of the board of directors for the United Way of Burlington County, the board of Trustees of the Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Ambulatory Board of the Virtua Health System. Rich graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. During his professional career, he has participated in a number of management development courses at Lockheed Martin, as well as GE's Management Institute at Crotonville. His wife, Noreen is a labor and delivery nurse at one of New Jersey's busiest hospitals. They have two active children and Rich has been fortunate to share his passion for the game of ice hockey with his son. He has coached his son's teams for the last five years and is now an assistant coach at the junior varsity level. Rich continues to compete in a men's league in his town of Medford, New Jersey. And, yes, those are his original teeth.

Toni Ferro brings more than 20 years of communications experience to L.M. Dulye & Co., including experience as editor of Hallmark Card's daily employee newsletter, Noon News, and as coordinator of a Hallmark program that shared sensitive corporate information with managers and offered tips for practicing effective 2-way communications with employee groups. Writing is Toni's passion, and she focuses that passion on business writing, leadership communication and key message development for L.M. Dulye & Co. clients. Toni was working on internal communications projects before she even knew what they were. As a 20-year-old college student, she worked part-time at Twentieth Century Investors (now American Century Investors) and offered to create an employee newsletter for the growing company just for fun. That project changed the direction of her studies from finance to communications, a change she's thrilled she made to this day. Spending a good portion of her career as a freelance writer, Toni has worked on internal communication projects for several major companies in the Kansas City area, including Hallmark, American Century Investors and H&R Block. She also has written marketing brochures, direct mail pieces, advertisements and web sites for local companies. Toni holds a BA in Communications Studies from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, three teenagers and a very spoiled mutt. She enjoys arts and crafts, photography and traveling around the country with her family. In her spare time, she is writing a family cookbook featuring the Sicilian recipes handed down from aunts and grandparents. You can reach Toni at tferro@lmdulye.com tferro@lmdulye.com .

As editor of the L.M. Dulye & Co. "2-Way Tips & Trends" newsletter, John Altdorfer brings more than 15 years' experience as a writer for the corporate publications of Ingersoll Rand, ExxonMobil, Chevron, JP Morgan Chase, SyBase and John Deere. John once taught high school English. But when impending staff reductions helped him see the writing on the chalkboard, he started a new chapter as a magazine editor in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Looking for a new challenge, he turned another career page to try his hand at direct mail, creating successful fundraising campaigns for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Special Olympics, The Salvation Army and other leading non-profit organizations. During the year 2000, John once again re-invented his career as a freelance writer, which led to his association with some of the country's best-known Fortune 500 companies. In addition, he's donned a tux and black tie to cover high-society benefit galas for a Pittsburgh newspaper. When the party's over, he makes like Lance Armstrong and pedals his bike a few thousand miles each year. Though a native Pittsburgher, John fiercely cheers for the New York Yankees, much to the chagrin of his two Red Sox rooting sons. His wife does her best to steer clear of all baseball brouhahas.
