Bob Formwalt of 201 Paul Hood Pl, Pagosa Springs, has been on the LPEA Board since 2000. He was born in Artesia, New Mexico. A graduate of Pagosa Springs High School and of the business school at Fort Lewis College, Formwalt is a self-employed rancher and former bank loan officer. Bob is the Board's Western United representative. He serves on the Systems' Operation & Planning Committee and is chairman of the External Organizations & Issues Committee. Bob served 12 years as an Archuleta County Commissioner as well as serving on the Archuleta County Planning Commission, Airport Board and Housing Authority. He also served on the Region 9 Workforce Development and Economic Development Boards, the Colorado Job Training Private Industry Council, the Colorado Mine Reclamation Board and Abandoned Mined Land Council, the San Juan Basin Health Board, the San Juan Basin RC & D Council and the Colorado State Soil Conservation Board.

Herbert C. Brodsky resides at 1824 County Road 204, Durango. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a master of automotive engineering from Chrysler Institute of Engineering. Brodsky is a management consultant, advising businesses on organizational and financial planning, and designing systems and procedures for his clients. His professional experience includes: vice president, directory of property management, Melvin Simons and Associates, Indianapolis; product manager for the Carborundum Company, Commercial Filters Division, Lebanon, Indiana and the Air Maze Division of Rockwell Standard Corporation Cleveland, Ohio. He also served as a staff engineer for Chrysler Corporation, Detroit. He is a past president of the La Plata County Unit of the American Cancer Society, Durango Natural Foods and the Durango Repertory Theatre Company. Brodsky served as president of the LPEA board for three years. He serves on the Administration and Budget Finance & Audit Committees as well as serving on the FastTrack Board the La Plata Electric Round Up Foundation board.

John R. Gardella of 8 Delwood Circle, Durango, was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 22, 1943. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University. Gardella is an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Durango. He is the owner of General Business Services which offers business and tax counseling to small businesses and individuals. He is also a real estate investor. Elected to the LPEA board in 1994, Gardella is Board Treasurer, a member of the FastTrack board and chairman of the board's Budget Finance & Audit Committee. He has received the Credentialed Cooperative Director certificate.
