James R. Hertwig, president of Landstar Logistics Inc., served in 2003 on the Committee for the Study of Freight Capacity for the Next Century, which is funded by state transportation departments and federal agencies like the U.S. Department of Transportation. He is a past chairman of the Florida Freight Stakeholders Taskforce Highway Subcommittee, a public-private partnership created in 1998 to work with the state's Department of Transportation; in 1998, he was appointed to the state's Intermodal Freight Task Force by then Gov. Lawton Chiles.

Landstar Executive Vice President Robert C. LaRose serves as the company's Co-Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity Mr. LaRose is responsible for safeguarding the assets, and managing the entire financial and administrative operation, of one of the country's largest safety-first non-asset based transportation capacity providers. Landstar's Carrier Group of companies consists of Landstar Inway, Inc., Landstar Ligon, Inc., Landstar Gemini, Inc. and Landstar Ranger, Inc. Landstar's Global Logistics group consists of Landstar Express America, Inc. and Landstar Logistics, Inc. The safety-first transportation services company is ISO 9001:2000 certified to quality management standards. The Landstar network is comprised of thousands of trucks and field locations. Landstar is one of the largest truckload carriers in the United States with revenues exceeding $2 billion dollars. Mr. LaRose joined Landstar in 1989 as Vice President of Finance and Controller. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Secretary in 2001, and served as Secretary from 2001 to 2005. A certified public accountant, he began his career in finance in 1977 at Arthur Young. Mr. LaRose earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at New York University. He lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with his wife and their two children.

Ronald G. Stanley serves as Landstar Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity Mr. Stanley is responsible for all operating company functions including those of the Landstar Carrier Group and Landstar Global Logistics. Landstar's Carrier Group of companies includes Landstar Inway, Inc., Landstar Ligon, Inc., Landstar Gemini, Inc. and Landstar Ranger, Inc. Landstar Global Logistics group consists of Landstar Express America, Inc. and Landstar Logistics, Inc. In addition to operating company functions, Mr. Stanley is also responsible for the expansion of Landstar's national accounts sales force to market Landstar's complete line of service offerings including logistics, over-the-road, rail, air, ocean, multimodal and expedited. Mr. Stanley joined Landstar in February 1996 as president of Landstar Express America, a position he held until 2006 when he was promoted to Landstar Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has 23 years experience as an executive in marketing and transportation, specializing in global airfreight. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Stanley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, and an MBA degree from the University of Indianapolis. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Youth Ministry Resources in Atlanta, Georgia. He lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with his wife Peggy and their three daughters.
