Patrick O’Malley serves as the President of the Landstar Carrier Group. He is responsible for the complete operation of five wholly-owned subsidiaries of Landstar System, Inc.: Landstar Gemini, Inc., Landstar Inway, Inc., Landstar Ligon, Inc., Landstar Ranger, Inc. and Landstar Express America, Inc. The Landstar Carrier Group provides complete truckload transportation services to shippers throughout North America. Mr. O’Malley joined Landstar in 1985 as an Operations Coordinator and has held various administrative positions throughout his career including Director of Fleet Management, Landstar Vice President of Safety and most recently Carrier Group Executive Vice President of Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa. He lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with his wife Doreen. They have two grown children.

Michael Kneller serves as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Landstar. He is responsible for all of the company’s legal matters as well as Human Resources and Corporate Communications. Mr. Kneller earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his law degree from Stanford University. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Prior to launching his career with Landstar in 2005, he served as a corporate attorney at the New York law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Mr. Kneller and his wife, Andrea, live in Jacksonville, Florida.

Charles Smith is our on site supervisor. Charlie supervises any of our projects that require a supervisor on site to manage the loading or unloading of our trucks and/or to assist the customer it make-ready of the site for deliveries. Charlie has 20 years experience as an Owner/Operator and maintains an outstanding safety rating with DOT and Landstar System, Inc.. Charlie is also a retired Master Sergeant for the US Air Force after 20 years of service to our country.

David Bannister is executive vice president, chief administrative officer and head of strategic development of FTI and is based in the West Palm Beach office. He is a member of the executive committee, is responsible for all executive staff functions and works with FTI’s practice leaders on strategic growth opportunities including acquisitions. Mr. Bannister has more than 25 years of experience serving clients in the financial services, transportation, industrial manufacturing, automotive and consumer/specialty retail industries. Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Bannister was a general partner in the traditional industries group of Grotech Capital Group, a $1 billion venture capital/merchant banking firm. In that position Mr. Bannister participated in all phases of private equity investing, including identification of investments, financing, operation improvement and harvesting. In all investments, he served as the lead director, working with key executives in strategy formulation, management team building, financing activities and overall stewardship of the companies. He typically chaired the compensation and audit committees. Grotech was the lead investor in FTI’s initial funding. Prior to his tenure at Grotech, Mr. Bannister was a managing director in investment banking with Alex. Brown and Sons. Among his responsibilities, he led the merchant banking operations and several key industry groups, including industrial technologies, transportation, consumer and environmental services. He led the banking team in more than 50 public offerings, raising over $3 billion; led negotiations in approximately 30 merger and acquisition transactions with a dollar value of more than $5 billion; and led the restructuring of approximately 10 significant distressed companies. Mr. Bannister currently serves as board member and chair of the audit committee of Landstar System, Inc., a $3 billion transportation services company. In the past he has served on numerous corporate boards including Allied Holdings, Inc., Trivirix International, Simon Delivers and Phoenix Services as well as chairing the board of the Jemicy School, a nonprofit, independent school serving children with dyslexia. Mr. Bannister received an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Business Foundation Fellow, and a B.A. with honors in history from Stetson University. He also completed postgraduate work in economics and history at the Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Bannister is certified public accountant.
