Barbara Fulton has been promoted to director of community and organizational development at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital in Charlotte. Previously, Fulton was the hospital's training and development coordinator.

Joanne joined The Detroit News in 1999 after working for the Lansing State Journal, Flint Journal, Cincinnati Enquirer, USA Today, PGA Magazine and NBA Inside Stuff Magazine. Kenneth Lawless has been named executive vice president in charge of marketing, planning, operations and human resources at Lansing-based Clark Construction Co. He previously vice president and chief operations officer. Also, Gerald Boerner has been named vice president of operations. Boerner previously was project director. Randy Jobin was named vice president of marketing and planning. Jobin previously was business development director.

Lynn Henning joined The Detroit News sports staff in 1979 after 3 years as a sports writer and columnist for the Lansing State Journal. A lifelong Michigan native (St. Johns) and a 1974 journalism graduate from Michigan State, Henning has specialized through the years in covering baseball, as well as Michigan and Michigan State, Lions and Red Wings, and in writing about the outdoors. Henning spent seven years during the 1990s as editor of PGA Magazine and as a writer for the national weekly, Golfweek.
