Monica Wheaton Monica has a BS in Psychology from Colorado State University, an MBA from the University of Colorado, and a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird, the American School of International Management. Monica also holds a Series 7 license and a Banking Certificate from the American Institute of Banking. As a special projects consultant for Shinn Consulting and the Lee Evans Group, Monica works with the project management team for the start-up of Builder Partnerships, a Shinn Group company that fosters building successful relationships between builders and manufacturers. Other projects include updating promotional materials and facilitating the creation of a centralized customer database. Monica 'grew up' in the home building industry, as her parents owned a home building company and are involved in many aspects of the industry. She assisted with analysis of industry financial statements and compensation levels, created and maintained two company websites, and consulted with clients to evaluate and manage changes beneficial to the client's organization. Learning the business from the ground up gives Monica a unique and well-rounded view of the needs and challenges of the industry, which she puts to use in her capacity at the Shinn Group of Companies. Monica worked with Freddie Mac as an Accounting Manager in the Single Family Accounting department, which focused on process improvements, and establishing and evaluating controls to meet the requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. She was also involved with the creation and launch of a training program for new employees and consultants. She worked as a project administrator on several international development projects for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Emerging Markets in the Financial Services Department. Monica served as Project Coordinator for the Kosovo Business Finance Project, USAID: a three-year, $29 million project aimed at providing an SME credit facility and establishing and managing a full-service bank. Other responsibilities included providing project management support for financial sector related projects in Kosovo, Honduras, Central and Eastern Europe, Nigeria and others. She also supported the financial sector group on multimillion dollar proposals for projects in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.
