Born and raised in Tampa, graduated from the University of Florida in 1957. Founded George A. Levy, Incorporated in 1960. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Levy has served on numerous boards including Hillsborough Community College, the Tampa Sports Authority, the University of Florida Alumni Assocation, Sunshine Games Foundation, Super Bowl XVIII and XXV Task Forces, the University of South Florida, the 13th Judicial Nominating Commission and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa. Among some of the honors he has received include the Florida Governor's Council on Physicial Fitness Sports Leadership Award, Tampa Sports Hall of Fame, President's Council Award at Hillsborough Community College, the University of Tampa Center for Ethics Award, and in 1991 was named the Small Business Person of the Year by the Washington based Small Business Council of America.
