As a successful entrepreneur and investor, Ross Longfield brings significant experience to his role at Rockford Capital and at V.i. Labs as a board member. Currently, Longfield is a managing partner at Longfield Consulting LLC, a company he founded in 2001 to provide consulting services to financial services companies, investor groups and venture capital firms. He also serves on the boards of Liberty Tax Service, the third largest and fastest tax service in the U.S. and Canada, as well as CoreStar Financial, an originator of non-conforming and sub-prime mortgages. From June 2001 to December 2004, he served as chairman of the board at Incurrent Solutions Inc., a leading provider of Web-based customer service solutions for major credit card issues including MBNA, CitiGroup and Target. In December 2004, Incurrent was successfully sold to Online Resources. From 1960 to 1998 he held senior management roles within Beneficial Corp. During his tenure as president and CEO of Beneficial Refund Lending Services, the exclusive provider of refund lending products to customers of H&R Block and all major tax preparation companies, he received four U.S. patents related to the electronic filing of tax returns. Between June 1991 and June 1998, he concurrently served as chairman and chief executive officer of Beneficial National Bank USA, a provider of private label credit cards for major retailers such as Best Buy, Costco, K-Mart and many others. At Beneficial, he was instrumental in growing the bank from a start up to an $8 billion enterprise. In June 1998, he oversaw the successful merger of Beneficial Corporation's credit card operations with those of Household International, another major financial services firm, at which time, he was named managing director and chief executive officer of Household Retail Services USA. He served in this role until December of 2000.
